This year for all of humanity has been the toughest yet in my lifetime.
The world’s biggest challenges generally got worse, or at least more complicated. Our biggest existential threat, climate change, is no longer a scientific model of the future; it’s now a relentless daily challenge.
The year 2023 was without parallel the most abject in Israel’s history.
Ukraine and Russia are no nearer to making peace.
Many more battle across the globe.
There is hope for all us by being part of a global community doing as much as we can to help bring peace across our only home.
There are nearly 9 billion of us on this planet that can make a difference, that’s a lot of power.
To all of you I wish you a peaceful 2024.

It’s really tough out there for all of us. Work is hard, freelancers are struggling so you can imagine how tough it is for those who have nothing.
Please help by making, baking, gifting this year to help some of our local people in need.

I have been organising gift bags now for 3 years and can honestly say that your kind donations make a world of difference to the most vulnerable in our community and many of the people referred to Stepping Out if it wasn’t for these parcels, would not have anything, especially so this year with money being so tight for so many.

For those of you that are not familiar with Stepping out here is a link to the website so you can read a bit more.

The team which is run by Nicky Fox are the most amazing human beings and they are so grateful for these delights and every year we get some awesome feedback which I will share with you all.

Information
If you can all send me an email with what you are intending to make.
Food items need to be individually wrapped and if you are good at savoury items please offer up some small delights as we have a fair amount of sweet treats already.
These can be main courses or snacks or canapés as long as they are vegetarian.

If food is not your thing, any small gift, card anything to brighten their day is also very welcome.

There are around 30 parcels being sent out this year and the donations need to be with me before midday on the 23rd December.

It’s the small lodge on the left hand side of the road heading down to Seacliff beach. Any problems getting to me please let me know and I will pick up.

That was officially the toughest,(physically), 3 weeks I’ve put myself through, culminating in the last supper before we headed back to Scotland with some pretty awesome dudes.
There’s been plenty of shifting, shoving, lifting, selling and gifting a whole Casa full of treasures to a bunch of local legends.
I now need to work my socks off to pay for the renovations.
Follow our journey renovating on a very tight budget and ….
Thankyou all so much for welcoming us and supporting our madcap moving.
This is the last time.
Now for the renovations and to open up next Summer.

It’s been a 2 week packing upone Casa and moving then emptying a very full townhouse that was left bulging with some pretty special treasures.
So we got to work sorting and sifting, selling and gifting until the walls began to breath again.
Now it’s back to our home in Scotland for my favourite Season and to begin planning out the refurbishment of
Head over and follow our journey which will include plenty of foodie interludes.

As the sun sets in Olvera Andalucia we say goodbye to one Casa and hello to the new Casa C and all of the adventures and gatherings we are so looking forward to hosting next year.
In the meantime it’s back to my favourite place of all, Scotland and back to some lovely photography and Styling projects.
My books are open for October and November, and I’m really looking forward to working with some awesome clients this Autumn, the colours are just immense.
