Dark teal, peacock blue or peacock green? Whatever you want to call it, it was refreshing to be working with this colour again even though it’s a nightmare to colour match! However with pristine white chair draping and freshly laundered table cloths and linens it’s just perfect for creating a fresh, bright, pure and romantic overall feel.
Our lovely bride Karen provided her own beautiful centrepieces which were placed on the tables along with her own table numbers by the venue matching up perfectly to our table runners and tied napkins waiting for the cutlery to placed under the ribbon.

Items we provided:
Chiffon chair drapes tied with ribbon.
Table cloths plus top table pleated skirt.
Chiffon table runners.
Napkins tied with ribbon.

All our linens are washed and ironed/steamed for every single wedding. There’s a lot of behind the scenes prep that goes unseen but there’s no way we will put out creased table cloths and drapes. Only the best for our couples 💕

The lovely Amy and Dan who I met several times at wedding fayres and events where we’d talk for ages all things weddings. I’ll miss seeing you at the next one.
Bride Amy had a vision of how she wanted her decor but this changed after seeing one of our earlier set ups which she fell in love with. So we made some changes to the chair dressing, centrepiece style and added in gold accents and pops of pale blue.
Result: pretty, romantic, timeless.

Items we provided:
Chair covers with lace hoods, linen sash and ivory rose.
Aisle hoop with draping and luxe florals.
Aisle pedestals with floral tops, aisle runner and petals.
Pleated table skirt set and chiffon table runners.
Centrepieces: plinth frames with floral tops.
Top table florals, cake hoop, post box.
Table plan, table numbers, place names, kids packs.
Memory display, framed signs, LOVE lights.

Thought I’d quick jump on and say ‘Hello 👋🏼’ and let you know everything is ok here. We’ve been sooooo busy with back to back weddings including mid weeks ones. Still lots of photos to share which I’ll get round to eventually.
We have 2 weddings this weekend and then our work load starts to ease as we come out of peak wedding season although we’ll then start prepping for our Autumn weddings.

I met Joanna and Ashley at a couple of wedding fayres where they came to visit our stand. Following up with lots of Emails and a face to face meeting at the venue. Making slight changes and tweaks along the way to make sure they got the perfect set up they were aiming for 🤗.

Dusky pink with gold accents. Soft, elegant, romantic. With the gold matching up against the venue’s chandeliers bringing everything together beautifully.

Items we provided:
Chiffon chair drapes with gold brooches
Abigail arch, lanterns and petals
Gold centrepiece stands with floral tops
Chiffon table runners, candlesticks, tea light holders
Top table pleated skirt, centrepiece and floral run
Memory display and cake hoop

A wedding in The Dominican Republic followed by a later Reception back home at Lazaat Hotel. Keeping the blue seas and sandy shores theme, our lovely bride Kara chose to have this stunning turquoise colour. Extra bonus that our 4ft LOVE lights come with a remote to cycle through a choice of colours meaning we could even match those up 👌.
We provided some glass centrepiece bowls for our bride to fill with sand, seashells and palm leaves bringing everything together wonderfully.

Lovely, timeless, romantic.
A pretty little set up for our couple Harry & Henrietta who chose to have pale blues with gold accents for a wonderful evening Reception following on from the Church.

Fairy lights, memory displays and post box

Blue seems to be a popular choice this year with dusty blue at the top of the chart on par with sage and pale pink. Whatever colour scheme you choose we guarantee to make it look fab - we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Something Borrowed Venue Decor is proud to announce that we are now in partnership with Cottingham Parks. Being the preferred supplier for venue decor we will be providing chair dressing and decor for weddings and events as part of the venue’s new wedding packages.
This is an exciting time all round as the venue is currently under redevelopment to include new golf locker rooms, a new and enlarged downstairs café bar, members lounge, restaurant and an extended function room including a wonderful new purpose built orangery with fantastic views.
We look forward to showcasing the venue later in the year where our work will be part of a styled photo shoot. This will also give couples the opportunity to come and view the venue set up for a wedding and help them visualise their day, with the events team and ourselves on hand to answer any questions. Date to be announced later.

This colour though. Forest green/dark emerald 😍.
With candles, eucalyptus and white florals to bring in some enchantment along with our wooden arch and log slices to add some rustic.
After the ceremony the aisle pieces were moved over for use as table centrepieces along with our forest green napkins and top table decor to match everything together.
Just lovely 👌

A colour palette of sage green and white with gold accents was the perfect colour choice, matching up against the venue’s neutral decor and stunning gold chandeliers. All coming together beautifully, fit for the Castle’s Bride and Groom or should we say King & Queen.

When a room with a view becomes an aisle with a view.

Dusky pink and sage green with our wooden arch to bring in some rustic and frame that view, draped with chiffon to soften.
Pink chiffon chair hoods tied with sage green ribbon and finished off lovely with some delicate greenery.

Transferred over to the wedding reception with our matching table runners and bride’s rustic centrepieces bringing everything together wonderfully 👌

Thank you for your get well wishes and messages of support.
Yesterday Josh came home just in time for his birthday tomorrow 🤗. He’s doing really well and should be back to normal very soon although he still requires some care at home for a short time. Finally this 8 week nightmare is over.

Special thanks to brides Emma Taylor, Rebecca Knaggs, Stephanie Plews, Kathryn Blackburn with bridesmaid Katie and Charlotte and Georgia from Country Park for your kindness, support, understanding and trust. Despite everything going on here at our end weddings were on form and we did it! 💪
Shout out to one of our 2022 bride’s Nurse Kayleigh who we bumped into on Josh’s ward. Thank you Kayleigh for helping to look after him, he said you were really nice 😊

Now on to the next wedding and to get this mountain of admin done!
