Shy in front of the camera? then don’t worry! The way I shoot weddings allows you to enjoy your wedding day the way you want, spending as much time as possible with family and friends.

I’ll never take you away from all your guests for hours on end so you miss all the fun just to make you stand about doing silly awkward poses but I can still create fabulous photos of just the two of you but these literally take minutes and there’s definitely no posing required!

My approach to each wedding is fun, relaxed and natural, nothing staged, and nothing posed.

I don’t set up any shots or get you into silly awkward poses. I don’t work from shot lists and I definitely won’t ask you to hold your rings up to the camera or form you and your guests into cheesy heart-shaped group shots.

Throughout the day I’m constantly observing, looking for the moments. All weddings are unique. The location, the people, the moments, the speeches, the laughs, the tearful moments, each and every one is unique to that day.

Moments like this can’t be staged or re-created, they just happen. I completely immerse myself in the day, becoming more of a wedding guest than “the wedding photographer”.

There are so many things to be thinking about during your wedding and I don’t want photography to be one of them. Therefore you can relax and enjoy your day, safe knowing that all those critical moments are being captured.

// Bridal Prep //

This typically starts a couple of hours before the bride needs to leave for the ceremony. I turn up, say my hello’s and just crack on with what I do. No need to set up any photos, no asking you to pretend to put make-up on, it’s all-natural as it happens. Bridal prep is also a good way for your bridal party to get to know me and for you all to relax in front of the camera.

Well what a place New York was last week! I'll be showing a few images I took over the next few weeks along with wedding photos just to show it's not just weddings I can do.

So Ive been a bit quiet this week, reason being I've been in New York 🗽 and absolutely shattered from the overnight flight back. What a place and do much to see and do. There will be a few NYC images being posted this week as I'm really looking forward to editing them.

As I said last weekend I'm going to start posting other images other than wedding photography. So here it goes, one of my favourite personal images which I took around 2012 I think when I was based in London training Royal Marines Reservists.

I used to go into central London a couple of times a week and look like a right geek with camera and a little tripod. I loved taking lond exposure images around that time and a lot of the personal work I'll be uploading will be that. This image along with a few others were also displayed in a gallery in London too.

For the camera geeks this was taken with a Fuji XE2 with 10-24 lens and 30 second exposure if I remember. The blue streak was from an ambulance that went past, I didn't realise it would turn out like this.
