Haven’t posted for a little while.
So a revisit to this beautiful bouquet with all its early summer vibes.

It’s been a summer of change here and I don’t know where the time has gone.

I’m really looking forward to my fav part of the year (Autumn) and the abundance of colour and texture in the flowers available.

Had some fun rescuing the garden and house plant casualties this morning.
Yes the roses are well worn and the delphinium is past its sell buy date to but I’m all for a few more days beauty and love the pale pinks purples and whitish tones in this little urn bunch.
The rain here is relentless but good for all the new plants we’ve put into the garden.

With Meteorological Spring a week away!
Everything is starting to wake up from the long wet winter.
I can’t wait to get into the new garden and start planning our new space.
Still a tad chilly outside though so I’m hoping the brave little shoots continue to grow.

Not much decoration going on here at the moment (moving days Mon/Tues) so ……..
Here’s our mantle decoration from a ‘Christmas Past’ (actually 3 years ago.)

Such a bad time to move house but we can’t predict when completion takes place.

Funny though we’ve already bought the Christmas tree and out door light before we got the house! We do some daft things 🤪 bringing on the silly season!

At long last it looks like we are moving and now after such a long time it’s all systems go ! ( why does it take so long to move?)

This arrangement was for a church but I styled it with a favourite book first 😉

But oh! the light, even in the rain, the light was special.
And the space was amazing. Having seen these areas many times in flowery photos, I had to pinch myself that I was really there 😘

It’s the season of ‘mist and mellow fruitfulness’ and I have had a lovely relaxing birthday weekend.
Plenty of good food, wine and even a bit of walking ! Except the mosquitos were in abundance too (not me, Mr A is suffering though).
The allotment is full to bursting and I am trying to find ways of preserving things at the moment.
Any suggestions for Cavolo Nero gratefully received 🙂

Awake early due to the wind and rain! So my mind is in overdrive!

This picture (taken a few years ago) of a moss covered branch reminds me of all things wreath like.

We will potentially be in the middle of house moving (hopefully) in November/ December so I cant commit to organising and running wreath classes this year so I am more than a little gutted. however….

We will be at the Thornham Village Hall for the
Bag Ladies Christmas Fair in early December with wreaths for sale, ……hopefully see you then 🎄

Asked to provide flowers for the local church this week, St Lawrence church Harpley.
Residents take turns to provide and create.
Thank you to & for providing the florals and foliage for me and also Mr A for carrying the said urn arrangement to the church for me
I don’t frequent churches often but this “at risk” church is stunning with its South idle dating from the 13th century, (Historic Britain).

Birthday month for me 🫣
It traditionally is the beginning of meteorological Autumn 1st September!
Although Astronomical Autumn is later in the month.
I really feel such affinity to this month and the change in the season. I LOVE the colours, tones and textures of everything autumnal 🌾🍂🍁🪵
