The club has progressed a long way since its inaugural meeting in November 1985 when local lads Larry Carter and Chris Herring decided to organise a ‘get together’ in the local pub and invite Steve Webster along for a chat.
The aim was to raise some cash to assist local riders and a fledgling Committee was formed to do just that. The aim of the Club remains the same today as it was over thirty years ago. During this time many tens of thousands of pounds have been raised to help local riders pursue their racing ambitions.
Social events are held every month, in a relaxed and informal setting with many distinguished guests from the world of motorcycle racing. These events provide an opportunity ‘get up close and personal’ with stars of the past and present, and of course our sponsored riders.
