Now that Mother’s Day has come and gone I thought I’d share something a little different today and tell you a little bit about myself and the story so far!

🌸 My name is Jodie, and I’m 25!

🌸 I have a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing and have always loved my creative subjects, which have helped me cultivate an eye for colour and design that really comes in handy for floristry.

🌸 My favourite flowers are ranunculus (special shout out to butterfly ranunculus), hellebores, fritillaries, sweet-peas and garden roses

🌸 As well as flowers I also love movies (my dream would be to flower for a film!) books, musicals, photography and nature

🌸 I have always loved flowers, but I never realised that you could make a career out of working with them! We have a little allotment plot which has always been more flowers than food, and before the pandemic me and my Mum wanted to learn what to do with them. In the spring of 2021 we finally got to go on our first floristry workshop together, and I was immediately hooked

🌸 I am both Level 2 and Level 3 qualified, but have also worked for lots of lovely local florists in Northampton, doing everything from Interflora work to helping out on a market stall. I’ve figured out since that I love wedding floristry and the whole process of bringing someone’s vision for their special day to life!

Happy Mother’s Day! I couldn’t let this day pass without saying how grateful I am for my own Mumma and Nanna 🩷 They’re always there to help when I’m agonising over colour palettes at the wholesaler or to lend a hand with deliveries, and I love every single morning flower run and seed sowing session down in the shed when it means we get to spend time together 🌸
