Remember a couple of posts ago when I said 'sometimes less is more' ...yeah, not this time! 😅
I couldn't possibly downsize for my twins birthday after the last three years.

My original plan was just the ocean inspired ombre hoop for their party, I wanted a design with minimal prep this year (no boards to paint and definitely no vinyl to cut - IYKYK) as I already had four other installs to prepare the week of their birthday 🙃

Of course.. I then decided I needed something for them to wake up to on the day of their birthday so that's where the last minute sailboard came in, and then I added the hoop on party day 🥳

DIY Coral 🪸🐠🌊

Super easy to make 🤓

What you will need:
✅A mixture of training artificial vines/greenery
✅Expanding foam
✅Spray paint in a variety of colours
✅Kebab skewers
✅Cupcake cases
✅Hot glue gun.and an oasis florette to hold it all.

O-fish-ally Four 🪼🐠🐢

Sometimes less is more (although admittidly this is only part 1 of this install 🙈).

I wanted to use my turtle obsessed twins birthday as an opportunity to showcase our slimmer sailboard with fewer balloons, serving as a cheaper alternative for more modest budgets.

Of course, crafty as ever I made the jellyfish, coral and turtle cutouts from scratch. Best believe there's plenty of prop making content to come for this one, handy for those of you who've already asked about the diy coral. 🪸

Gone are the days of helium clusters on the tables, wedding balloons have levelled up ⤴️

The room was partitioned for the ceremony when I set up, so I couldn't get a photo of both garlands together, thankfully the photographer did 📸 (swipe).

It's rare we have bookings that don't involve props of some kind, so this one made for a nice change.

It was a pleasure decorating the beams at the beautiful with these simple yet elegant balloon garlands (the other one was behind the partition wall ready for the reception).

Let's talk NI***ES...

Balloon ni***es that is, especially since there's a big one glaring at us on that 18 inch 🙈

Even the most premium balloon brands can have ni***es, and lighter colours seem to be more prone to it. It's all to do with the drying process when the balloons are made.

TOP TIP:
Lighting at your venue can play a big part in their visibility, and this is a great example. In this case, there was direct lighting overhead highlighting the top cluster. If you look at the rest of the white sand balloons that aren't under the light, those nips are far less noticeable 👌

Our clients picked a single sailboard option for their joint 40th, and gave us free reign on the design 🙌. It turned out pretty fun.

At least that's what people think of small business owners. You work for yourself, no-one telling you what to do, complete flexibility.

The reality is, you work more hours than ever, your brain never switches off, there's an insane amount of admin, you get enquiries at ungodly hours... and a whole tonne of ghosting 👻

But, you're doing something you love, and that makes it all worth it.

Fit for a prince and princess 👑

We did baby shower balloons for our client last year, and now joint birthday balloons for their older children (we've since done a third display for this lovely family too). There's no bigger compliment than a returning customer, and we're forever grateful for repeat business 🫶

Boy do I hate setting up my sequin wall, it takes forever and it kills my fingers, BUT, just look at it 😍
This combination of shimmer, pampas, florals and balloons is giving 'GLAM', were obsessed.

The photographers photos show the colours off far better if you can be bothered to swipe 😝

Introducing the coolest acrylic sign I've made, and what is possibly my favorite colour combo yet (photos are NOT doing that teal justice I tell you).

This wasn't actually the initial colour scheme, in fact it took a while to land the colours for this party, but absolutely worth it 🙌

You chose well (who is absolute mum goals, what a surprise 21st you threw for your girl 👏🎉).

This lovely couple named their tables after the dogs in their lives, and even had gorgeous little sketches done of each pup for the table name cards - awesome touch! 🐕
