This SUNDAY sees this absolute colossus of a day hitting Verdin Park in Northwich, you'll already have had two days of fantastic music from the Northwich Town Council Music Fest and because they are a super cool council they've let us tag this day of the best original bands in the country on the the end!

It's TOTALLY FREE to attend, there's going to be a bar, there's a funfair, there's food!

Running from 12-9pm on Sunday 9th of June, it'll be the best free day out you've ever had.

Too keep the day bouncing along, we have some ace DJ's for you, Max Mutant (who has finally linked the Facebook and Insta, so I can't say anything bad about him) will be smashing out tunes all day alongside Rare Vitamin Records very own Captain Wheezo!!!!

These guys know what you like and they know how to party, so expect some massive tunes, some off piste weirdness and some forgotten bangers!

Kicking things off, as is tradition, we have a mega cool Jimmy Dammage solo set, one of these days we'll get them all in the same country at the same time! This was awesome last year though and we are mega pleased they've agreed to do it again, it'll get you properly set up for the day!

We are mega pleased to be hosting the first Northwich show from a brand new band that are already smashing every gig they do, Skäl are the combination of the lads from Winsford stalwarts Riverstone and the enigmatic Ev Kirwan. Pray for Mojo are making a trip down the A49 to join us, they hold the accolade of being the hairiest band of the day, that combined with their incendiary live performance has created such a fire risk that we've had to take out extra insurance! These guys are fantastic, get down and check them out!

Even though they are from the land of Iron Bru and Buckfast The Kidney Flowers are now frequent visitors to our town, because we love them so much and keep asking them to come back, maybe they just love stopping at Tebay services as much as me?

Anyway, we are mega pleased they were able to fit in a stop off to play out in the sun with us before they have to nip back over the wall!

Hazel's Maze are going to be hitting the stage and they are armed with a whole bunch of new stuff - some of which was written by bassist Rob many years ago on a big wooden spoon at a party in a kitchen around 2am, they've been a long time coming, but having been there at the inception I can tell you first hand they are going to be amazing!

Kicked In The Teeth are shouty and noisy and generally unpleasant to be around, but they were the first band on Rare Vitamin Records so guess what? You don't get a choice, they are playing. They will be especially fired up as Joe has been on holiday in France where everything is really expensive, they've all been mean to Mike and not let him have a milkshake when it's been sunny and Jay is just a big meany in general..... luckily Chris is an absolute delight and fantastic to looks at, so at least you have that!

Crooked Little Sons will be out touring their latest Rare Vitamin Records and finishing right here in Northwich, the highest of octane rock 'n' roll will be provided, they'll be sharply dressed, but on the back end of 10 days on the road they might be a bit stinky, so don't get too close! Not that it matters, no matter where you stand they will come to you!

Yet another quality weekend watching a couple of this years RVAD big hitters! The Kidney Flowers were outstanding at EBGB’s in Liverpool on Thursday & The Dog on Friday night (blimey you’re in for a treat) & Hazel's Maze blew the roof off the excellent Globe in Glossop on the Saturday.

Very much looking forward to checking the bootlegs out once the bank holiday is over.

Not long to go now before the event of the year (all for FREE!)

Last week in Dublin Joe from Kicked In The Teeth met with none other than Steven Spielberg, he agreed a deal with him to shoot the festival scenes for the upcoming ET sequel (ET 2 - The Revenge) at this year's Rare Vitamin Annual Diversion, so make sure you're at Verdin Park on Sunday 9th of June if you want to get your face in cinematic history!
