It's been a busy few days!
On Thursday we were in Burton-on-Trent to serve bacon/sausage butties & chips to 350 GXO employees (from 10am to 7pm!), and yesterday we catered for 2 birthday parties..one in Hyde and the other in Prenton for Peter Kerrigan's wife Jenny; I last saw Peter about 17 years ago, and so it was nice to catch up and to meet Jenny and their family & friends😀

We've had a busy weekend providing catering in Oxfordshire for a wedding anniversary party, and also for a wedding (with 150 guests) in Stoke, and we've just received this review from the bride. "Tom Piper’s Hog Roast was amazing at our wedding! The food was excellent, every guest we spoke too gave the hog roast lots of compliments and said the food was lovely. The staff were brilliant, very efficient and polite, ensuring everyone had quality service at a speedy rate. We even got a complimentary cheese board. Both myself and my husband would 100% recommend!!"

Last week we provided Xmas lunches on 3 days for Prysmian in Wrexham, and another one yesterday.
Today we've been prepping for a full day in Burton-on-Trent to provide Xmas lunches for 175 staff of GXO, and then the same on Thursday (again, for GXO).
We finish the week providing Xmas lunches for 150 staff of Radwell International Ltd in Newcastle-under-Lyme🙂

This afternoon we're providing the catering for our good friend (and occasional 'entertainment officer' for Tom Piper's Hog Roast) John's birthday celebration🙂

This Friday we'll be providing catering (hog roast followed by bacon butties) at The Oak Tree Of Peover. And then on Saturday we're travelling down to Oxfordshire to provide breakfast and lunch for Hagerty's Hot Wheels Legends event.

Well, that was a long weekend!
We started cooking a 70kg pig at 10:30pm Friday night to then take it to Camp Kátur Glamping for Celestial Moments (Conclave of Chaos August 2023 event) serving 1pm to 9pm, and then repeating the process so that we could do it all again on Sunday!
Many thanks to Jack, who got up every hour through the early hours of Saturday and Sunday mornings to keep watch during the 7 hour cooking process😮

Teresa and I have just enjoyed a weekend away (from Hog Roasts) to attend our nephew's wedding....the first time I've been absent while we had not 1 but 2 catering events, so thank you to all those left behind to 'keep the show on the road' (Jack, Elsie, Ben, Max and John) you all did a fantastic job!!

We went to Peterborough on Saturday to provide a Hog Roast for a combined celebration of Rachel and Paul's 20 year wedding anniversary and Paul's 60th birthday). We didn't get back home until gone 1am, but this review makes it worthwhile!

"Tom Piper's Hog Roast from start to finish your service was faultless just pure perfection. Your correspondence was first class and the food OMG just the best hog roast we have ever tasted. We had 200 guests at our party and everyone we spoke to after and during said the same about the hog roast - the meat was full of taste, no grease and plentiful, the crackling was to die for and I can't tell you how many people commented on how nice the chips and the salad was!! Just perfection I would highly recommend you to anyone and everyone. Thank you for everything xx Rachel and Paul"

It was a great team effort....so many thanks to John, Jack, and Elsie!!

"What a gorgeous hog roast!!! Wow! Everything was superb. The communication,, the set up, the food... everything was just so perfect. David was so lovely and patient. We changed our numbers a few times but nothing was too much trouble. He was so easy going. Everyone at the party LOVED the food! The presentation was fab. It was so tasty and there were leftovers which David gave to us. There were cakes, the most gorgeous cakes! Everything was so perfect. Thank you David and team for making our birthday celebrations so stress free. Do not hesitate to book!! All the best David for the rest of the year, best wishes Kate and Will x"

I think it's fair to say that our trip down to Southampton last Friday was successful.....this is what the (now retired!) Head teacher had to say:
"Amazing service and superb Hog Roast! My retirement do at school for nearly 100 staff was fantastic - Tom Piper catered for everyone's tastes - down to a personal level. My vegetarian colleagues were as full up and my carnivores. David and Ben were ready on the dot for service and there was enough for some seconds for our PE Hungry Horaces. The whole experience was so smooth all I had to worry about was my speech. I recommend them 100% if you want your event to be perfect."

Just received this brilliant review from the catering we provided in York last Saturday.
“5 ⭐️ GREAT EXPERIENCE with Tom Pipers Hog Roast. Great communication and transparency ahead of the event, we were very clear on what was required and what to expect. The actual event went perfectly, David and the team came and set up quickly and efficiently, and were ready on time. The food was excellent, great portions and very tasty. OK, so this week on Thursday we have a corporate event in Shrewsbury and an evening wedding party in Ormskirk. On Friday we have a wedding in Knutsford. And on Saturday a triple birthday party in Uttoxeter, and a birthday party in York!
I hope google maps doesn't let us down!

Gathering all the bits and pieces needed for this Saturday's 3 events!!
Our youngest son (Max) and I are heading 'darn sarf' to Saffron Walden in Essex to cater for a 50th birthday party, while Teresa and middle son (Ben) are off to Bolton to cater for a (repeat) corporate event. And in the evening my good friend and eldest son (Jack) will be providing a hog roast for a 40th birthday party.
Busy, busy, busy!!
