We weren't planning on doing black Friday and instead have had a 20% off sale on Etsy for the past 2 weeks, and this will be on until the 30th at least. We are considering keeping the sale going until we close for orders in December (date tbc), if we can manage the amount of orders coming in.
For transparency, we are using our advertising budget to cover the cost of the sales, rather than spending it on adverts on Etsy and across social media.

As you’re probably aware, this weekend is the biggest shopping weekend in retail, Black Friday. A lot of us smaller businesses are taking part in the alternative - - which is a campaign to encourage you to ditch the mass consumption and support an independent business.
I have created this post to not only raise awareness of the campaign but to make shopping small easier for you. Scrolling through Etsy and such can be really tedious so I am asking all of my small biz pals to comment and make it really easy for you to find them, see what products they make and what offers they have on.
If you are a small business who is taking part in colour/Black Friday this weekend please comment the following so people can find you:
- who you are and what you sell
- what offers you’re running
- when they start/end
This is just my small way of trying to put you in touch with some of the most incredible independents out there and to make sure you don’t miss out on some really amazing deals🥰
