This Sunday we are looking forward to our first wedding fair of this year 🕊️🌸💍🤍~ it will be at from 11am-3pm and will be free entry on the day ~ come and have a peek if you are planning your wedding and looking for ideas and suppliers!
We’ll be out picking flowers and foliage later this week ~ the narcissi, blossom, hellebores and camellia are looking lovely at the moment and shall be making their way into an urn arrangement for the day, just like this one from last June…
I’d been meaning to have a go at creating a living Spring table wreath for a while, and yesterday had a wander around the garden for materials and came up with this number which is now sitting prettily on the kitchen table 🐣 🕯️
I weaved a willow base and used moss, Spring bulbs, primroses and greenery to decorate the circle, and if kept spritzed with water should stay fresh and carry on blooming for a while 🌱
We’re thinking about holding a workshop at Easter for these…if you’d be interested in making one for your table please pop us a message or a comment 🐣

This week has been pretty 🌧️ so far but there was a break in the rain yesterday to put down a couple of rows of ground sheeting outside and in the poly tunnel which will hopefully reduce the weeding this year by a rather large amount! The thought of that is bringing us a LOT of joy 🥳
Annual and perennial seeds have been sown, and the remaining sprouting Ranunculus planted into the poly…we’re looking forward to some wedding chats with potential couples too this week, and a little plan for some wedding fairs we’ll be attending in March 💫
Yesterday I tasked myself with finding a bit of colour, scent and details in an otherwise asleep and bare soiled February garden…
Painterly Hellebores, Winter flowering Honeysuckle (the best scent at this time of year), Ivy, Rosemary and Viburnum in a delicate vase 🤍 tiny treasures!
Oh the jewels of May…Ranunculus, Bluebells, Blossom, Tulips and Narcissi…sleepily growing in the ground now but soon to be unlocked! 🪻🗝️💫
☁️ Day dreaming of those early Summer mornings collecting flowers from the patch for weddings ☁️
The beginning of the year takes a more gentle start as we plan for ‘24 ~ sowing seeds, preparing the ground and plant out - a big builders sack of compost has arrived and ground sheeting for the plot to keep those weeds at bay this year so installing that will be on the cards soon!

Heavenly tulip ruffles ~ Spring pending! ⏰
~ A little note on fresh bouquets 💌
~ We’ve had a few enquiries over the past few weeks asking if we have our fresh flower bouquets available…being a seasonal florist using Norfolk grown flowers means that there’s not much out there growing at the moment (hello bare muddy soil!) but in April things will be waking up with Tulips and Narcissi ~ keep your eyes on our posts for bouquet availability then 💫

A flurry of wedding enquiries over the last week has got us looking forward to the 2024 wedding season on this rather rainy Monday! Just a little reminder that we’ll be updating our prices in the New Year so if you’re thinking about enquiring for 2024 we’ll still be honouring our current price list up until then 🕊️

“We had the absolute pleasure of King Witham doing our flowers for our wedding in May this year. From the very beginning they were so helpful and knowledgable - understanding exactly what we envisioned.
They created beautiful displays, bouquets and button holes that were a real highlight in the design of our day.
What is even more amazing is that the flowers were all grown by them or locally sourced making them a sustainable business.
We were so happy to have chosen them and would recommend them to anyone reading this (or their friends!).” ~ Jemima & Alex, May 2022

What do Norfolk grown wedding flowers look like at the beginning of November? They are dried from the Summer and oh so pretty! 🤍🎀💍
Sarah & Wesley embraced the season for their wedding last week, and chose dried flowers for their bridal party, which then doubled up as table arrangements after the ceremony 🤍 such a clever idea and their flowers can then be kept as keepsakes after the day ✨
Our fresh flower season runs from around April to the beginning of October, so if you are getting married in the Winter months then local flowers are still possible!
