As many of you know Matts Uncle is very unwell and is coming home from hospital tomorrow. Matt is going to be looking after him so we hope you understand we are going to put family first.

Please come and join us next Thursday (6th June) as we host a special event to mark 80 years since D Day.

Fish and chips from 5pm, a quiz from
7pm (booking advised) followed by live music, the reading of the International Tribute & the lighting of the Lamplight of Peace.

During the evening there will also be a raffle to raise money for the Royal British Legion. If you wish to donate a prize for this very worthy cause, please pop it into the pub.

We will be back Yippie. Sarah treatment has gone well, she got her eye sight back, Jaw working and has now managed to walk half a mile without a stick. She wants to return so we are. Our plans are to return to Aplington Wheel of Fortune on Thursday 22 February 2024, then back to normal Thursday 29 at Wheel, and Friday 1 March at Brooke layby, it is now on Google maps as the Hippy Chippy layby. We will then be there every week. Our opening hours at both will be 4.45 to 7pm. Thank you so much and look forward to seeing everyone for chat Matt

Just to let you know Sarah's treatment will not allow her to get to close to people as she will not have no immunity to infection, as this starts in two weeks and last for six weeks we will not be opening till February March next year. First part has gone well and starting to feel a little better, have a great Christmas and Happy New Year from Matt and Sarah Hippy Chippy.

Hi as many of the regulars know Sarah is very unwell and know we brought forward the chippy build which we were going to do in retirement. Her health has got worse each week. However, after our visit to Neurology yesterday new treatment has become available and they started treatment yesterday. We are not opening this week at all. We have been advised not to do more than one night a week, so will not be opening at The Wheel of Fortune until next year at the earliest. I would really like to thank all our customers that came week after week and made Sarah smile. I can't really open on my own. We will back on Friday as soon as we can, see how she feels next week. Ps my Grandad opened his chippy up in Loddon in October 1923 and my Uncle Will continued so we managed 100 years thought I would end on a happy note. Really thank you so much for the support.
