THE NORFOLK ACTORS COMPANY presents the festival’s central production for 2024 ~ The Philadelphia Story…
They are bringing some wonderful characters to life. We chatted to Becks Clayton who plays young Dinah (sister of Tracy) and she told us she has 4 costume changes and the bridesmaid dress is a sight to be seen! It has been amazing seeing Becks light up centre stage, quite the step up from her role last year, playing a quiet house maid responsible for set changes! She, along with Ruby Bardwell-Dix and Lucy Gleeson have lept forward in their roles too, are the perfect example of what the Norfolk Actors Company is all about and we couldn’t be prouder or more excited for them.

Since our journey began in 2010, we’ve been committed to bringing those hidden gem plays to life, and we can’t wait to continue that tradition! Who remembers the buzz from Melvyn Bragg’s King Lear In New York back in 2016? That was a highlight! This autumn, prepare to be whisked away to the glitzy 1930s high society of Philadelphia.
Our ethos remains strong: we cherish our returning core group of actors while also embracing new talent each year. Whether you’re a familiar face or a newcomer eager to join us, there’s a place for you in our company.
Don’t forget, our Artistic Director, Stash Kirkbride, will be hosting Open Door Workshops later this year. It’s a fantastic chance to learn more and see how you can get involved next year.
