Fully expected to be running new leads to the stage box for a channel with no signal, popped the trunking open, traced the lead all the way to the stage box, realised it wasn't plugged in -.- . Put trunking back together, job done.

Hello everyone. Rob here.

Pre-emptive, and I am not making any assumptions or taking anything for granted, but I value every studio user as much as the next to keep people in the loop.

My own personal circumstances might be set to change in the last quarter of the year which may mean that the studio will have to change in the way it operates.

The most notable potential changes will be that tutoring services will have to become evening and weekend classes on select days, as opposed to being available all day.

The second, is the stopping of all recording services, I will not have the time to offer that service.

The third and most notable change will be the removal of the sound check and setup service that I have always offered.

The studio would operate like other rehearsal spaces in the area, where we will layout the leads and a simple mixing desk, foldback and P.A speakers, drum shells and backline, but it would be down to the studio users to setup their own sound for rehearsals.

Bands would be allowed to enter the studio twenty minutes early to start doing this.

I appreciate this is a lot of work, and would not be ideal for some bands and I do regret that, if this is too much of a change there will be no hard feelings if you no longer use our services.

I have been doing it for 17 years with line-ups of all shapes and sizes, I understand how valued it is in getting you up and running as quickly as possible, but the other options I have would be to perform a significant price hike in order to cover a sound technician to come in and take over the operations I have performed as a perk. The other change would be the severe limitations of available rehearsal slots.

As I said these are all potential changes at this moment, but they are looking more likely to happen than not.

Hi everyone just a heads up Coltishall bridge will be shut for three days from Monday 19th - Wednesday 21st.

If you're travelling to the studio coming from North Walsham way this will affect you.

You will probably be best to go through Wroxham and out onto the NDR to bypass any issues.

The results of one of the XLR cables going wrong is a replacement working cable and some added bonuses!

Since the repair required the trunking to be removed, whilst it was out, I did some repatching so that we can now provide three additional separate monitor mixes.

This will please a lot of you.
