Did you know the average UK wedding has 96 guests?

That’s 96 outfits, 96 opinions, and at least one uncle who will request ‘Mr. Brightside’ three times.

It’s also 96 moments unfolding at once - hugs, sneaky tears, champagne refills, and full-volume laughter.

And while you’re busy being in the moment (as you should be), I’ll be quietly making sure none of it goes unnoticed.

Weddings are wonderfully unpredictable and that’s exactly what I love most about photographing them.

Recovering public servant, dad of two (one cheeky genius, one bum-joke enthusiast), and lover of all things fruitcake - I’ve been capturing weddings, families and all the weird and wonderful in-between moments since 2011.

Phew, it’s a scorcher out there!

If you’re heading to a wedding this weekend - whether you’re the one saying I do or just there for the Prosecco, here are a few tried and tested survival tips for navigating the heat:

🧊 Handheld fans are not just cute accessories, they’re life savers.
💦 Stay hydrated (yes, even if your glass looks like water but smells like gin).
👗 Linen, cotton, and floaty fabrics are your friends.
🩰 Bring spare shoes - sweaty feet and stilettos are not a dream combo.

And photographers? We’ll be the ones speed-walking to the shade like it’s an Olympic sport 😅

Weddings really are the best kind of chaos.

The nerves, the hugs, the missing buttonholes, the laughter that makes your cheeks ache… and always someone losing the rings for five very tense minutes 😅

Every single one is different, and that’s exactly why I love photographing them.

Fun fact: The longest recorded wedding veil was longer than 63 football fields. 🏟️ (Not practical for getting to the dancefloor.)

Luckily, most of my couples are far more focused on having a great time than breaking records - and that’s exactly the kind of day I love to photograph.

Think real laughs, happy tears, slightly chaotic confetti throws and the kind of candid, joy-filled images you’ll look back on forever.

You’ve planned the flowers, the outfits, the seating chart (twice)… but have you planned to actually enjoy your wedding day?

Because here’s the thing - it flies by. One minute you’re nervously sipping bubbly, the next you’re dodging confetti and dancing like nobody’s watching!

My job? To capture it all, so you don’t have to try and remember every single moment. You just get to live it.
