Happy Saturday! I am so excited to be part of Showcase at the Woodyard all weekend. So, I thought I'd quickly show my face in case you're popping along to say hello.

I'm Louisa - I do all of the growing and floristry here at Blooms HQ. Yesterday, with a superb extra pair of hands from Sarah , I added to the decor at The Woodyard with fabulous seasonal stuff - I can't wait to show you how amazing it looks!

By the way, the pics were part of a photo shoot from earlier in the year - more on that another day!

Happy Halloween! That's come around awfully quickly again...tell me it's not just me that thinks so?!

Seasonality is the name of the game here - although colour plays a part, at Blooms HQ we like to ensure that there are a range of colours for every season. Seasonality is about the flowers and foliage themselves, not always about the colour.

This was snapped up Farmer's Market at the weekend - seasonal, sustainably arranged and all grown here on the farm (except for the pumpkin which is grown on the fabulous ). Something a little bit different.

Really excited for this!

These beauties were grown locally by - there's an incredible variety there.

As well as pumpkins, there are bunches of fresh flowers available as well, and DIY mini milk bottles too.

The season keeps shifting and the days are getting shorter, but the farm is still (albeit more slowly) producing stunning blooms.

It's the time for the perfectly pink nerines to shine and brighten everywhere up before winter sets it.

This birthday bouquet left the farm yesterday - full of dahlias and scented perennial geranium foliage (my favourite foliage of all time). All grown here on the farm. Totally seasonal, undeniably sustainable. Swipe through to see some of the blooms included.

If you're like me, you'll like to see the face behind the flowers - whether you're picking up flowers from the farm, at one of our PYO days, keeping an eye out for me at a local market or coming to a seasonal workshop later in the year. So here I am - Louisa, running Brunstead Blooms.

Things have definitely taken an autumnal turn here in this corner of north-east Norfolk, but they're still growing away. Swipe ➑️ to see some of the gorgeous orange strawflowers - the perfect colours for the season. It's been the busiest year yet here at Blooms HQ - from growing to picking and arranging for all sorts of wonderful occasions. And there's still more to come!

I was so lucky to be able to have to capture the flower field and studio at their best last month, so I've got some really lovely material showcasing the best of Brunstead Blooms.

What a truly fantastic setting - the greenhouse at Holly House on . Set-up for a photo shoot this week with the team there and - it was a great way to spend a Wednesday morning! Only a couple of weeks ago I was delivering wedding bouquets here, so seeing behind the scenes was great.

I love talking about British flowers and sustainability in any setting, but this was pretty smashing.

It's been two weeks since the unstoppable Amy & Amit got married - I've got so many pics to share, but I'm starting with the nigella.

I grew this for Amy. She loves nigella. It's the flower she really, really wanted in her bouquet. I couldn't promise nigella to Amy - particularly that late in the season, but I said I'd do what I could to have some flowering in August. Of course, the last succession raced to flower because of the glorious hot summer weather, but I did manage to get a little something blue (and white) in her bouquet (swipe through the pics to have a look).

It's those little touches that can make all the difference. And it was an absolute joy to do it and bring their vision to life.

As ever, email πŸ“§ [email protected] or DM to order.

I just adore DIY flower buckets - these were cut from the farm and collected for a weekend wedding. It's amazing to see how people arrange the flowers they've asked for and these colours really popped.

Featuring dahlias, gladioli, cosmos, sedum, scabiosa - the ultimate high summer blooms.

It's been a really busy time on the flower farm and on the farm things are ripe enough to have finally started combing cereals, so it's all go. There are some amazing wedding coming up over the next couple of weeks, I can't wait to flower them up!

It was a magical evening in the flower field last night, so warm! And I was kept company by some wonderful members of East Ruston Gardening Club - we talked all about British flowers and seasonality, the flowers in the field and focussed on the delights that are dahlias. Then everyone made a hand-tied bouquet, full of Norfolk grown flowers - thanks to English Peonies for some extra beautiful dahlias.

A lovely way to spend a summer evening!
