Well, well, well…
Judging by the amount of cars on the road today I think we are all getting into ‘2025 mode’ and thinking about the coming year myself included!
Reflecting on last year though I think I’m confident in saying that it was one of the best years ever for me in my personal AND business life.
I proposed and am now engaged to be married to a wonderful woman who I don’t deserve ( I think as soon as the magic spell I cast on her wears out she will be off faster than a really fast thing but until then… ). I Had some great holidays and breaks and even went over to Ireland and introduced her to the ‘Irish contingent’ of my family who accepted her with open arms, Guinness, great food and even a trip on my cousins wonderful yacht for the day.
She makes even my day to day existence wonderful AND exciting ( exciting because I never know what she is going to break next or what idea she wants to ‘run by me’ for validation or dismissal )… and if you know Deborah you will be surprised to hear that occasionally she lets me speak too !!!.. true love if ever you doubted it!
My business although starting quiet in 2024 as usual ( mainly because after the Christmas festivities people are partied out and need a couple of months to recover ) took on a life of its own and I just kept getting better and better until by the end of December I found myself trying to manage my busiest December on record.
Corporate Hospitality, Weddings, Trade shows, Christmas Parties, Restaurant Entertainment, Bar Entertainment, Networking Events and even a visit to a high security facility were all catered for in that month without missing a beat!
Add to that all the other events that I enjoyed performing at throughout the year which included much of the above PLUS countless street entertainment, festival performances, family weekenders, school workshops, fan engagement events at my favourite football stadium, engagement parties, Holiday camp entertainment AND EVEN a booking at my favourite casino to entertain their elite clientele.
Needless to say that I’m having January off to regroup, relax and think about the year ahead.
I’m getting married this year doncha know !!!
Around that fantastic event I will be planning my 2025 bookings accordingly and I look forward with great anticipation as to what they may be.
I already have bookings in place but if you are having an event in any of the establishments and environments I have already mentioned above ( or an event scenario I haven’t worked in before !!!.. I love a challenge ! ) then please let me know and start the ball rolling before you leave it too late…. I won’t settle for second best and I wouldn’t want you to either.

Just back from performing with BONDS BUNCO BOX at a secure unit near Liverpool. 12-17 yr old residents who are too young for mainstream prisons until they are 18. I had two 45 minute sets of close up magic with a 20 min break to ‘reset’ the show. My first audience consisted of two residents and 4 staff and my second show consisted of 1 resident and 6 staff. You fill the gaps in…… I never ask whatever they have been accused of or sentenced for BUT they always leave my company with hug, smiles, bewildered faces and a bit of magic in the air to make Christmas special for them. Favourite quote from the staff …. “ I’ve never seen them so engaged and well behaved !!!… amazing !! “…..

An excellent 5 star review from my Christmas residency at Binks Yard. I have to say that the staff there are a pleasure to work with and even give me ‘the nod’ to go to certain tables and ‘amaze’ … one such nod last night was a visit to entertain the venues marketing team…. The gentleman who asked me to go over said “ I can’t wait to see their faces !!! “…. Needless to say … I didn’t disappoint. I had a great time entertaining the great and good at The Notts County Foundation dinner at The Motorpoint Arena last night (see separate post for more pics) AND caught up with my favourite actor Vicky McClure ! https://g.co/kgs/UM5Nwbm …. The last time we had a chat I commented on how nice her hair looked BUT I preferred it styled like her character Lol in ‘This Is England’…. To which she replied…” at least I’ve got f..king hair ! “…. Spoken like a true Notts lass !!… Anyroad up, before the guests arrived in the dining suite I was prepping my pockets with trickery and Vicky came in with other VIP guests, walked past me and said “what have you got for us tonight Mr Magician ?”… so I showed her my latest favourite routine. It culminated in her signed card ending up in a ribbon tied box on the table.. a box that I went nowhere near throughout the whole routine. The pictures speak for themselves BUT the video says it all. I love my job !!!…
