This afternoon we visited this year's year 2 children at Queensmead Primary Academy in Leicester. They have been learning about animals from tropical and polar parts of the planet. Indie the Blure Tongued Skink was there with some of his creature friends for everyone to handle and learn about. Blue Tongued Skinks are tropical rainforest lizards from Indonesia and Northern Australia. 😝🦎

Thistle the Tenrec and some of his animal friends had a busy afternoon today. He met all the residents at Care Centre near Long Eaton. Although in typical Tenrec style, since he is nocturnal he slept through about half the visit! If you would like to meet Thistle, contact us to find our more about our hands on animal experiences.

This evening we visited the Kingswood Brownies in Nottingham. Kenyan Sand Boa Jupiter was there with some of his animal friends for everyone to hold and learn about. The girls were very calm, brave and curious. If you would like us to visit your Guides or Scouts group contact us to find out more.

This morning we visited the youth group at Oasis Christian Centre in Long Eaton. Baby Duprasi brothers Bert & Ernie were there with some of their furry, scaly and creepy crawly friends for some animal handling fun! They were very good boys. Not at all fazed by meeting quite a large group of young people.

This morning we visited a familiy event at for some pet therapy & animal handling fun. The animals and I met some lovely children, staff & volunteers. Uromastyx lizard Orchid was a very brave girl. After 6 months with us she is beginning to realise people might be her friends.

We had a lovely afternoon today at the Cotgrave Memory Cafe at in Nottinghamshire. A mixture of familiar and more exotic creatures were there for everyone to spend time with. The animals and I met some really nice people who made us very welcome. 🐰🐹🐛🕷🐢🐍🦎🦜🦔

This afternoon we visited the year 2 children at Nursery Hill Primary School near Nuneaton. They have been learning about habitats so some of our creatures from different habitats in different parts of the world were there for everyone to handle and learn about. They included Elsa the Winter White Dwarf Hamster who is super furry and adapted to life in a very cold environment.

This evening we visited the Beaver & Cub Scouts in Aylestone in Leicester for some animal handling fun! The children were enthusiastic and had lots of questions to ask about the animals, including Curly Haired Tarantula Betty. 🕷🤩

We had another busy afternoon today at the Rothley Court Hotel summer fun day in Leicestershire. The animals and I met lots of families enjoying all the activities.
