Today marks Q***rish's 1st birthday!!

What an incredible year it's been. We want to thank every single person that has attended our events and we cannot wait to tell you all about the events we have planned for this year.
We want to really push ourselves to help the community where we can and we hope our events can reflect this well.

To celebrate, we're planning a big ol' q***r quiz - stay tuned for more information 🎉

Today, December 1st, marks World Aids Day.

World Aids Day was set up in 1988 to raise awareness of the ongoing pandemic affecting the q***r community. The day is in place to remember the lives that the aids pandemic took and those who still live with it.

Although having HIV is a liveable condition, the stigma around the word is still present in not only the world, but the q***r community as well. While the day is here to mourn all who passed, it should also be used to research and learn about the stigma, how to protect ourselves and further spread the knowledge.

U=U If you are undetectable, you are un-transmissible. Making it impossible to pass onto another person.

Today marks the anniversary of the Transgender Day of Remembrance.
A day where we take time to remember and honour all of those who have lost their lives due to hate and violence. Just for being who they are.

At Q***rish, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive, safe environment throughout all we do. We hope to continue this and do more work with the trans community to provide more safe spaces and events

There are vigils being held at the Portland building steps over at UoN and other places around the city, all starting at 6pm. Feel free to attend if you can

Nottingham Comedy Festival 24

Our last event of the festival was the incredible performing their 'Dumbgenz & Dragqueens' show - an interactive, story-telling, comedy set.

Expect laughs, high levels of camp and overall feel good vibes, it was a great way to end our q***r stage.

Big thanks to all the acts that performed during the week and a big thanks to for helping with all the audio.
