The hour and a half shows are a bizarre and wacky combination of live music, vaudevillian variety acts, slapstick comedy and twisted circus, coupled with dramatic costumes and the odd giant unicorn or two! The energetic and quirky shows are guaranteed to make you laugh with there own personal form of slapstick humour and random happenings which occur throughout the show. The key is to expect the u
nexpected. Be warned as it does get messy at times. If you don't want to risk getting covered in voodoo powder, flesh and possibly an organ or two, then stay out of the well marked "mess pit". Treat your ears throughout the show to the bluesy, 1940s New Orleans style of music from the house band, Sugafoot Stomp. Consisting of french horn, tuba, mouth organ, electric guitar and veritable smogasboard of drums, they accomplish a beautiful juxtaposition of tradition and contemporary sounds which is even bizarre enough at times for a break-dancing bear to drop a few of his best moves! As well as a live cabaret show CGP also provide a wealth of bizarre interactive walkabout entertainment, a photo-booth and an extremely un-pc puppet show. Depending on the venue, stalls hosting an array of contemporary and alternative goodies by local artist and designers will also be provided. Productions by The Lambhorse Cabaret are wonderfully odd, funny and at times mind boggling shows which combines circus, music, comedy, dance and magic. They will leave you feeling slightly disturbed but wanting more, more, more!! The head of the Events dept at Nottingham City Council attended the 1st show and when asked to comment he said " It was one of the most interesting, innovative and well executed shows I ve seen for a long time"
