Earlier this summer, we shared some exciting news about Stage the City, and now we want YOU to get involved!

Thanks to £150,000 funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Nonsuch Studios is launching a two-year programme putting Nottingham’s people and places at the heart of a new theatre celebration.

Launching this autumn, you can expect creative theatre workshops in Bulwell, Sneinton, and The Meadows for all ages, community-led performances celebrating local voices and stories, and a big Nottingham City Centre celebration in 2027 with you at the heart of it.

Here’s how you can get involved:

Nonsuch Studios is about to launch something BIG, and we want you to be part of it! 🎉

We’ve gone from a mighty team of 4 to a mightier team of 10 and we’re excited to introduce the brilliant people behind Ashfield Creates, delivered by the team at Nonsuch Studios.

As Nonsuch continues to grow our production work with new shows, tours, events, and community projects in Nottingham, we’re also proud to be building something bold and collaborative in Ashfield too!

BIG NEWS for the children and young people of Nottingham!

We're proud to be part of an incredible collaboration! The Child Friendly Creative City programme has just launched with £1.5m funding, bringing together 22 partners led by Challenge Nottingham to transform how people aged 0-24 experience arts and culture in our city.

Through working directly with schools and educational settings, Child Friendly Creative City aims to address barriers to accessing the cultural and creative world.

🎭 Whether it's their first theatre visit, discovering local heritage, or joining nature-based creative projects - this programme is designed to boost creative confidence and give every child the chance to explore their talents.

Keep an eye out for exciting pop-up activities coming to Victoria Centre this summer and find out more at the Positively Empowered Kids Festival this Sunday 22nd June!
