DanceLikeYaDad is the creation of multiple award winning DJ Maximus formerly known in the 80’s and 90’s as Mad Max. The DanceLikeYaDad experience ranges from DJ appearances playing the best in 90’s club in various venues, in 2014 you will see our first major large event in Nottingham. ghting top DJ’s and Live entertainment a night not to be missed. The first major event for DanceLikeYaDad is going to be a FREE PARTY, so be sure to friend DanceLikeYaDad. The date and line up for the event will be announced in the New Year. DanceLikeYaDad is currently in negotiation with a couple of venues in Nottingham bringing our party to their party and it is hoped that The first Saturday and the last Saturday of every month will see Maximus on the decks in Nottingham and further afield providing that 90’s club cool feeling from the end of September, We will keep you updated in the next few days. Maximus started his career in 1981 as a DJ for WWEA in Germany and Luxembourg. In 1983 Maximus returned from Europe and joined Mecca leisure, Maximus, worked for most of the large UK leisure companies between 1983 and 1998 opening many multi million pound developments and also refurbishments across the length and breadth of the England. Maximus also ran his own successful events, and played at many one off gigs including UpYaRonson, Party in the park (20,000 people) The Inner City party in New York. His favourite club of his career was Club Uropa Sheffield which he opened as the resident in 1993 for European Leisure with the excellent Bill Muirhead at the helm and in 1994 Maximus (Mad Max) was nominated and came runner for the B.E.D.A DJ of the year, (British and European Discotheque Association). The following year 1995, saw Uropa Win the B.E.D.A Club of the year and Bill Muirhead was nominated and came runner up for the B.E.D.A. Maximus was the DJ for the after party which spoke volumes for the success across the board from the Uropa crew. It truly was an outstanding experience for all those who came. It is that 90’s atmosphere that DanceLikeYa Dad is bringing to a sound system near you soon. Maximus career saw many awards and accolades including 1987 DJ of the year semi finalist, 1989 DJ of the year finalist, 1990 DMC regional finalist, 1991 Mecca leisure entertainer of the year winner, 1994 Jack Daniels DJ in the mix winner, 1994 B.E.D.A DJ of the year runner up. Maximus is available for one off gigs, once a month gigs, private parties and festivals, no full time residencies. Maximus is playing at a private festival next week and this will be recorded and uploaded to the DanceLikeYaDad sound cloud page for a flavour of the DanceLikeYaDad experience.
