Hiya!! 👋🏽 I'm Janie. It's about 84 years since i did this, because self-promotion is hard eh! I like to think our weddings speak for themselves but once in a while we have to get dirty and do some promo. And it’s so worth it when it means chattting to lovely new people about their exciting wedding ideas! So, with a little nudge from my friends, I'm here to reintroduce myself and OTW.
A little about the bizz: was established in 2013, I started working for the business back in 2015, then I bought it, (so grown up!) and starting running it solo in 2018! I've now planned and styled well over 100 weddings!
Some (fun?) facts about me:
🍊 I have a degree in Knitwear and run another business and have recently started doing knitwear repairs. Go follow me 😉
🍊 I made those macramé dyed garlands behind me in the photo! I LOVE making bespoke installation stuff for weddings, parties and shoots. This was an epic photoshoot with loads of amazing women, 📸 taken by
🍊 I'm a geordie lass, but I have lived in Nottingham for (gulp!) 20 years this autumn.
🍊 At 38 years old I fulfilled at 20 year long dream, and learnt to DJ with the incredible . My favourite genres are disco & electro, plus anything with a female vocal that makes you want to flail about (think Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks....)
🍊 I can hip thrust the equivalent weight of a large male panda.
🍊 I have a campervan and get a real thrill out of having a home on wheels. I always have the best nights sleep when I'm in my van.
🍊 I very rarely buy brand new clothes or interior items, and am thrifting enthusiast. 🌍
