Rolls Royce Leisure, Hucknall, Nottingham
Last Saturday 26th October was the first time I had dressed this venue, I was very impressed with the 3 rooms which they have available for hire. Nicola the Events Manager allowed me to take a small video to show of
the rooms.
Rolls-Royce Leisure Hucknall has not 1 or 2 but 3 function rooms where you can hold your event, including your wedding reception celebrations with family and friends.
The Leisure Lounge which is split in to 2 rooms can hold up to 225 guests, with separate entrance to the function room and bar lounge, with its own separate toilet facilities.
Then there is the very impressive Griffin Room which can hold up to 250 guests, with its big windows overlooking the field and backs on to a lovely seating area, high ceilings with stage and bar.
Finally the Derwent Room with its own bar, which can hold up to 150 guests, separate entrance and toilets facilities.
They have trestle and round banqueting tables available and would suite any theme and colour, including Rustic, Shabby Chic, Modern and Elegent.

Ryan & Stephanie's Wedding, Rufford Mill Friday 19th July 2019
Happy wedding day to my lovely couple Ryan & Stephanie, I dressed the Talbot Suite for them at Rufford Mill, here is small video after I had finished dressing but before the flowers arrived today. Sorry about the creaky floor, but it is a grade listed building, so you expect it.
Rufford Mill is the ideal wedding venue to hold your wedding celebrations, with the beautiful brickwork and exposed beams, surrounded by beautiful countryside!

I thought I would show a little video I took of Claire & Kieran's wedding ceremony at Colwick Hall Hotel which was on Saturday. It's been a while since I have dressed there, but the room still lookes as beautiful as ever, especially when the doors are open and the sun is shinning through. Will be back there soon. It is so lovey to be part of a couples special day!

Afternoon everyone,this week has really gone quick since exhibiting at the lovely Morley Hayes Wedding Open Day on Sunday. I had a fantastic time and met some lovely brides/couples, just catching up on all the correspondence now. Portland College Bridal Show
The Portland College Bridal Show yesterday was a lovely experience with lots of couples attending even though the weather was not good, fully enjoyed meeting lots of couples who had just got engaged recently and was just starting out on their wedding planning journey!
We had lots of nice comments about our new vintage bike which looked beautiful with flowers in shades of pink and white.

Evening, it seem's I have been getting a lot of enquires from couples who have not yet booked their wedding decorator and are getting married this year. Is there a reason behind this all, is it that couples can not find the right supplier, seeing what budget they have left, not picking their flowers to later on, which can impact on decoration, there is so many reasons I could be here for ever!
I like to think that we offer a very personal service where if possible we like to have consultation with our couples to discuss colour, style and theme, but we don't just stop there, our appointments can take between 1-2 hours, we look at the bigger picture, we consider:
The venue, where it is located and the style
Does it have a entrance drive which can be decorated.(First impressions means a lot).
The ceremony room, what's inside it, how is it decorated and of course the flooring( wooden or carpet). If it's carpet, sometimes you want to pick a colour scheme which will compliment it.
What can I fit in the function room, your lucky if you get two rooms, makes it so much easier.
Do they have wooden or banqueting chairs, a simple sash is all you may need or a white chair cover to lighten the room.
The out side of the venue, how much garden does it have, does it have pathways which could be lit up at night, outside tables which could have lanterns on.
What flowers you are having and the colours, flowers can always fill a empty space which needs to be filled.
This is just a few things which we take in to consideration on your wedding day but for us to achieve your vision we need to know so much more, you want it perfect!
It's not a matter of just letting us know your colours, anyone can do that, just turn up on the day and put the chair covers on and sashes not knowing what your vision is, that's where things can go wrong, but where a couple can not have a consultation we find in these instances we offer great communication by email, facebook and telephone calls, eve
