Following today's relaxation in Covid regulations and guidance, we can increase our capacity to 40. As an outdoor venue we will not be requesting that face coverings are worn, but you can of course continue to wear them if you wish. We will still be asking you to sign in using the Covid-19 app or on the manual list

Not only do we have KC Jones who are extremely well known locally as a really talented duo BUT Keith Donnelly stand-up comedian/singer song-writer who is well known on the Festival circuit and has also written for Jasper Carrot and Phil Cool! So the Covid restrictions are still with us after June 21st. All scheduled Courtyard events will go ahead as planned, but we will have to reduce capacity for the Josh Pugh, Gin and Jam and Winter Wilson events - get your tickets quickly before they sell out!

So, tonight we had our opening event, a free concert for our theatre volunteers. Despite the atrocious weather our performers and audience turned up and had a good time. Our first public event is tomorrow, KES performed by Sudden Impulse Theatre Company

Today is World Theatre Day, and all UK theatres remain closed. But if the Roadmap dates are maintained we'll be allowed to open from 17th May, with social distancing. So we're now building up a program of public events - starting with KES, a play presented by Sudden Impulse on Saturday 22nd May (tickets from their web site). We have booked two folk music sessions, Daisybell supported in June and Winter Wilson in July. Comedy is coming from Josh Pugh in July, and we are finalising dates with a number of other performers
Tickets will be available from the Abbey Theatre Ticketsource page, but we're holding off releasing these until April 12th, in case the Roadmap dates slip and we need to reschedule events....

So have patience, theatre and events are coming!
