stence adds to the enchanting ambience of Normanton Church, which now stands a surviving treasure of the past. Saved from the reservoir floor, the only thing flooding this venue is light. The many windows illuminate the arched interior and offer picturesque views out across the water. Exquisite beauty radiates in waves from this grade II listed building, built in the classical style. The church, originating from medieval times, was re-designed in 1826-9 by Thomas Cundy and his son, surveyors to the Grosvenor estate in Westminster. A Rutland icon, Normanton Church is stylistically evocative and a truly novel civil ceremony venue. This setting is guaranteed to create cherished memories doused in romanticism. The wonderful staff at Normanton Church are always there with a big smile to assist no matter what the weather! Its hard to see from this photo just how heavy the rain was during the thunder storm over the church just as the bride arrived!
