It's all happening ‘On The Terrace’ next Saturday, September 28th - as part of this coming week’s Discover Rutland's Food and Drink Week celebrations.

No need to book, just come along and watch your chosen dishes being cooked in front of you. The event runs from 12 noon to 5pm, with a live music performance between 2 and 4pm 🎵

It’s day 1 of our exciting leisure facilities refurbishment project here at Rutland Hall Hotel.

Although our pool is now closed until further notice, the gym, weekly classes, badminton, squash and crazy golf facilities are still open and available for use as normal 🏋️‍♀️😄

Once complete, the works will deliver a dedicated reception area at the entrance to the swimming pool, along with upgrades to the changing facilities. The refreshed facilities will include a sauna, steam room and a brand new gym fitted out with 28 pieces of new equipment.

The swimming pool will be infilled to a depth of 1.2m (from 1.9m at the deep end). This level change will make bathing safer and aligns with our environmental policies of reducing our carbon footprint wherever possible.

In our massive archive of the Hall which details visitors as far back as 1890, we have photographs of Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson visiting the resort, and reports of four Kings all playing snooker together here.

But what is a Health Walk?

These leisurely walks that are designed to promote physical activity, mental well-being, and social interaction while incorporating elements of health and wellness.

How long do they last? A health walk can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the pace and the group's preferences.

Do I need to be super fit? The pace of a health walk is generally moderate, with a slow and steady pace that allows participants to enjoy the scenery, chat with others, and get some exercise. The pace may vary depending on the group's fitness level and the terrain. – they will be based around the grounds and onto the Rutland Water Nature Reserve path.
