Last week we had some very old friends from Australia to stay. On Friday I made more come to my spin class and afterwards we had a wander around the market in the Uppingham.

I think perhaps I take for granted the beauty of our little town. Dita made me see through new eyes at how stunning the history of stone buildings & architecture is. We popped into The Falcon where I’m lucky enough to be a preferred supplier and I showed her The Oak Room. The panelling and view over the market square are simply stunning and I’d wanted to show you all.

Wow! Six years ago we were on this epic tulip trip! I love every moment.

On World Earth Day 🌍 Many scientists believe that micro plastics in our bodies could be causing problems from autism to cancer. so I try to do my little bit by not using plastics in my work. The flowers you see here for the wedding showcase are all made in chicken wire armatures and there’s no single use plastic at all used. The chicken wire will be used again the washing up bowls will be used again and there’s not an ounce of plastic near the bouquets or buttonholes. Flowers and foliages will be composted. I would like to profess to be 100% foam free but sometimes I have to use it in my funeral work. But I’m constantly trying to work out ways to avoid floral foam in a way that still lets me achieve what my customer needs. But I want to be authentic & honest rather than hypocritical!
