Today we will be closing the door for the last time in Oakham. Once again, Thank you, Thank you , Thank you for all of your support throughout the last 50 years.

Remember we are only closing the shop but Sally is most definitely open for business. We will still be offering a similar service from home.

We made a huge decision at the beginning of July that we will be closing the door to our shop for the last time at the end of July.
Sally has had a shop in Oakham for the past 50 years this year and throughout that time has served Rutland and surrounding areas with weddings, funerals and beautiful blooms. She is now doing weddings of Grand children that she did their Grand parents weddings. The last 50 years has seen lots of change in Oakham but nothing really like the last 10 years. With ever increasing shop rents and empty high street shops it has been a rollercoaster and we have had to move around frequently to adjust.
Sally is now 80 years old and our lease was up for renewal, so it seemed like the perfect time to do this.
20 years ago Sally had a brain haemorrhage and was in hospital for almost a year. She came back to work very slowly after having lots of physio and speech therapy. She had lost her vision in her right eye and was unable to drive so made deliveries quite tricky but in stepped some very kind taxi men to help out.
We didn’t know if Sally would be able to walk, talk or cope on her own but there was no stopping her. She was adamant she was going to run her business again.
Sally is an absolute legend !!

We will be running a small service from home including weddings and funerals and dealing with some of our long term clients. We may also do some pop up shops at Christmas, Valentines and Mothers Day and not to mention our fantastic wreath making workshops at Christmas.

We would like to thank hugely all of our customers and friends and other businesses who use our services from the bottom of our heart.

Oakham thank you for 50 years. It’s been a blast.

A wedding on Saturday was full of beautiful sweet peas. They filled the shop with the most stunning aroma. We added a little astilbe to the sweet peas because they are so delicate and didn’t want to damage them.

So here we are.
It is with the ongoing rise in rent by landlords we find ourselves in this situation again. Also our old shop was sold without much warning so we have found a really cute little shop at 4 Melton Road. It is situated pretty much straight opposite our old shop.
We will still offer all the same services and deal with our customers in the same way. Our phone lines and PDQ payment system may take a few days to sort but feel free to pop in.
We look forward to seeing all our lovely customers.
