The clocks have changed and the evenings have stretched out now, it finally feels like the seasons have changed and spring is finally here.
The landscape is coming alive again with vibrant colors and lush greenery. Spring is a lovely time to get married, with pretty flowers and warmer weather.
We are loving this gorgeous sunshine and getting on with tidying up the gardens ready for the Bluebell walk and some new NGS open days in May - more details coming very soon.
The forecast is looking good for this week so more time for outdoor jobs, hope you can get out and enjoy it too!

Make of the most of the lawns right outside of the barn and encourage your guests to spill out in to the Devon countryside. We love how S&P's family decorated the green space with bunting and gazebos, a few lawn games go down well too. We love this shoot using our lovely watering cans and vintage china. We have an abundance of props here at Ashridge that you will have access to borrow including all the vintage mismatched china. We love being able to provide things so that you can re-use what is here and you do not have to hire everything in or buy new.
It is great being able to offer sustainable decor! 💚

🌈🌈 Are you planning an outdoor wedding? Here is some bright and beautiful wedding inspiration 🌈🌈
We thought this was a great way to decorate, using this long ribbon bunting it gives a beautiful bright focus to an already gorgeous garden back drop. The couple made the ribbon bunting themselves and it was a lovely way to pull all the bright colours of the wedding together. The bride also made her own gorgeous and unique wedding outfit, what an amazing day!

The natural wedding archway formed by the trees surrounding the Magic Circle acts as a beautiful entrance arch to welcome guests to your wedding.
It gives a lovely focal point on arrival and adds a romantic element to the wedding.

Lovely to see some editorial coverage for Ashridge in the January / February edition of Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding magazine... one of our current focuses here is updating our camping facilities and installing a water saving toilet and shower block so you don't have to hire them in - exciting times! 🚿💚🏕️
"Set on a working farm Ashridge Great Barn is an authentic rustic barn with beautiful Arts and Crafts semi-formal gardens - the best mix of old and really old! We're delighted to have joined the Sustainable Wedding Alliance and the farm has gained an RSPB Fair to Nature certification. We're also responding to calls from couples for larger numbers to stay on site and are installing a new water saving toilet and shower block so that facilities don't need to be hired in. We really enjoy supporting couples to put together personal celebrations which don't cost the earth - drawing on the sustainable origins of the Barn and the regenerative farming methods of the setting."

Who else loves a boho wedding? This stunner of a bell tent was set up by @devonbelles_belltenthire for D&E’s wedding guests during their drinks reception.A good move to use as the weather turned out a little less cooperative! We’ve just got some new rugs for the prop collection, so excited to see them styled as a part of a wedding.

Did you know that you get 3 days hire included when you book your wedding here? You have the whole day before to get things looking perfect in and around the barn, you can stay in our cottage onsite the night before if you choose to and start your set up early on Friday if you want to. This is one of my favourite parts of the weekend as I love seeing all the plans coming together and couples visions coming to life! I love this #behindthescenes Timelapse which shows the bustle and part of the transformation in the barn! It looked fantastic on the day.
