One of the things about weddings that still takes my breath away… (and I've worked and seen a lot of weddings over the years) are flowers and floral arrangements.

You know how much I love DIY at weddings, but for me, one element that really elevates a wedding is the quality of the floral design.

Ensure the venue can accommodate your guest list comfortably.

Does the venue align with your desired wedding theme and aesthetic?
Consider the overall ambience, architecture, and decor options.

3. Location and Accessibility:
Where do you envision your wedding?
Is the venue easily accessible for your guests, especially those travelling from afar?

4. Amenities and Services:
Does the venue offer in-house catering, bar services, and event planning assistance?
Is it a dry-hire venue?
Are there additional amenities like on-site accommodations, parking, and outdoor spaces?
If they have a “getting ready suite/room, what time is it accessible from? There’s no point in having one if you can't access it until 9:00/10:00 am on the morning of your wedding.

Factor in the venue's hire fees, additional services, and potential customisation costs.
Ensure it fits within your overall wedding budget.

6. Licences and Regulations:
Will you be having a celebrant-led wedding or a registrar-led wedding?

💰🧧Wedding Gifts: Is it cheeky to ask for money? 🧧💰 Maybe it's a cultural thing but some of us Brits aren't great at talking about money and in the past I've been told that outrightly asking for cash gifts instead of any physical gift is considered a bit cheeky. I'm hoping that things have moved on from this and that couples feel that they can ask or remind guests that they would be grateful for money, and this can be towards a honeymoon or a house deposit or a renovation. Some even have poems dedicated for this but for me I don't mind being told clearly in plain terms that the couple would money. What do you think?
