💰🧧Wedding Gifts: Is it cheeky to ask for money? 🧧💰
Maybe it's a cultural thing but some of us Brits aren't great at talking about money and in the past I've been told that outrightly asking for cash gifts instead of any physical gift is considered a bit cheeky. I'm hoping that things have moved on from this and that couples feel that they can ask or remind guests that they would be grateful for money, and this can be towards a honeymoon or a house deposit or a renovation.
Some even have poems dedicated for this but for me I don't mind being told clearly in plain terms that the couple would money.
What do you think? Would you rather not broach the subject or would you ask for specific gifts for your wedding?
