Looking forward to cooking for everyone again 💚 it’s been a while!

The weeks seem to be flying by at the moment, and it’s Gardening Sunday again this Sunday. Join us this Sunday, 20th of October from 10am at Todmorden College.

This week we’ve got a bunch of tidying needed in the usual spots, including Pollination Street, the police station beds, the Golden Garden, and the area near the canal, including a lot of leaves to be swept up and tidied.

The weather’s unpredictable at the moment, so wrap up warm and bring your wellies. We’re also going to be giving our storeroom at the college a much-needed tidy. If you’d rather do some indoor jobs this week, we've got plenty to keep you busy.

Robin is unlocking and locking this week, Nick’s looking after the tools, Ian’s handling the rubbish, Helena will be leading the gardening, and Fran and Brenda are back on meeting and greeting duties. And it’s curry day, so whatever the weather, we’re going to be warmed up by the scrumptious lunch from Karl, Ronnie, and Kim.

A big THANKYOU to everyone who supported us last night at the Mayor’s Ball 🪩 it was amazing to see so many new and old friends coming to enjoy our food! We loved being able to have a chat and a laugh with you all, and it was great hearing your positive feedback on the dishes ❤️

The next edition of IET Gardening Sundays is happening this Sunday, 17th of March from 10am at Todmorden College.

We’ve a lot of routine tidying to be done across the various beds around town, with the Friends of Christ Church - Todmorden and at the Incredible Medical Garden, Todmorden.

We also need a team of strong diggers at the stables at Haugh Road (and people to drive them there from the college please). Ian our lovely rubbish man will be taking a trailer to the stables which will need filling with manure before we take it to Pollination Street and the Medical Garden for spreading at the base of the fruit trees there.

Tall Paul will be opening up, Helena will be leading the gardening, with Fran and Paul meeting and greeting and Ian looking after waste disposal. It’s another currytastic lunch on Sunday courtesy of Karl, Ronnie & Kim from One of a Kind. They’ve promised us some classics this week, so arrive hungry.

If you’ve not been before and would like a named person to meet you when you arrive and show you the ropes on the day, just drop us a line and we’ll be able to arrange that. Kids are more than welcome with their grown ups, and if gardening’s not your thing, there are always indoor jobs to do.
