Dear All,
I know I’ve been quiet on Facebook & Insta these last few months and that is because I’ve now hung up my headphones for the last time. Everything is now wrapped up and so I can publicly say it.
It’s been an absolute blast over the years doing this job I’ve loved and still do, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end.
I’ve been DJing for 28yrs now and that’s a lot of weekends. And whilst I have a lot of memories and good times helping you lovely people create memories on your special day, it’s time for me to move on and make some memories with my family on the weekends.
Lockdown made me realise I need to spend more time making more memories and celebrating with my wife, family and friends so practically to the day I started, I’m stopping.
My first gig was a New Years party in The Painters Arms, Hightown, Luton. A twin record player and a hifi separate cd player. My last gig was at Stirk House, with a laptop – no cd or record in sight, oh how times have changed!
It’s been a great experience, I have played in some fantastic venues, met some fantastic people, and I wouldn’t change a thing. But as time waits for no man and it’s time for me to move on.
Over the last few years, I’ve been learning to use the camera, and that will be my new profession moving forward. I’m not doing weddings – defeats the issue of giving up DJing (😊) – but if you want to give me a follow over on my photography accounts it would be greatly appreciated. FB David Lee Photo & Insta
So without a further ado, I wish you all a great Christmas and a fantastic New Year. Thank you for your custom, I’ve really had the best time DJing at your events, thank you,
Sincerely,
David Lee – The Wedding DJ
