Here’s a menu we did for a recent sportsman dinner. The starter was pate with side salad and breads with an amazing roasted sirloin served with a red wine sauce, dauphinois potatoes and seasonal vegetables. It’s did go down a storm with the crowd.

I haven’t managed to post for a while as you’ve been keeping me very busy! We’re very happy to be busy and really enjoy the work we do. Here’s a few images from our cold buffet, platters and pies selection that we the team make for some of our clients. There’s more, I’ll post them when I can.

It’s one of those days! We serving Aperol spritz and fruity pimms on an absolutely beautiful day. It’s the only way to go.

Last weekends buffet. Fish sandwiches, cheese and truffle pies, vegetarian tartlets, mini homemade burgers, tapas Yorkshire puddings, Thai fish kebabs with Asian salad and pasta pots. There’s also a few traditional buffet bites; sausage rolls & pork pies.

So 2021 didn’t go as planned. Covid was still unpredictable and the few volunteers we have were in and out of isolation. My schedule exploded (can’t complain) which meant my time was very diluted. I apologise for all this.

2022 will be better and I now have more free time to do what I love.

I am looking for volunteers for our Greenfield Christmas Light Comittee. Can you spare a few hours here and there to help us?

Firstly, we would like to thank you for your continued loyalty and support for the cafe this last 17 months. It has been an absolute pleasure being able to serve you.

It is with a heavy heart I have to inform you that Greenfield Cafe will be closing on Tuesday 18th January 2022. I regret having to to do this, however it’s not been easy throughout the COVID crisis and also trying to juggle the many other things I do.

I will be back focusing work solely on the King William IV and the outside catering will continue from the king bill kitchen by our head chef Debbie and her assistants. This will also give me the time to spend with my family too.

Happy New Year...

Thank you for being very patient and letting us have time off in the new year. There’s a number of reasons for this and I’d just like to explain a little.

Towards the end the of 2021 I was both mentally and physically tired and a break was needed. We can’t complain, as it was very busy but we all needed time out to relax and enjoy.

Our lives changed... a very special young lady came along, moved in with us and changed our lives even more. We all struggled a little, changes take time but along the way she’s become very special, hardworking, funny, talented and brave girl in 2022. We wouldn’t change it now and want to support her as much as we can.

I hope you all got a chance to put 2021 behind you with closure and that 2022 is a year full of promise and potential.

We will see soon. Maybe with a few changes!
