It’s wonderful to see more couples deciding to do a first look before their wedding ceremony👏 . I’ve shot well over 700 weddings at this stage in my career and I can honestly say I’ve NEVER had embraces like this at the top of the aisle.

Happy First Anniversary to Dervla & Ed 🥂 Monday may not be the best day for an anniversary but no doubt you did something nice at the weekend!!

The most beautiful day at Temple House with Jessie and Archie. Once again the Americans bring the good weather to Ireland!! ☀️

After a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the lawn Jessie put on her boots and we took a short walk in the grounds of Temple House to grab some photographs before the speeches 📸

I was brought up in an old house and have recently renovated our 80 year old home so I naturally love houses with character, steeped in history. It’s just fabulous to see so many of them thriving and being enjoyed by wedding guests. I feel very privileged to get to work at such gorgeous venues with such great people. Roderick and Helena are amazing hosts along with their friendly team and the food is like a fine dining experience. 🤩

Big shout out to Michelle our very talented MUA who I now want to do my own make up!! I’m sorry I’ve not got the other vendor info at the moment. 🤯

20 photographs just won’t cut it!! I’ve WAY too many photographs to share from this gorgeous Irish American wedding at Clonabreany House 🤣

Meticulous planning and keeping to the timeline made for a very relaxed, enjoyable day for everyone last weekend.

**TOP TIP**The First Look earlier in the day before the ceremony is a no brainer if you’re having a later ceremony or want to spend more time with your guests after the ceremony.

I have to give a big shoot out to Clonabreany house and their fabulous staff for being so attentive to both my bride and groom and myself. I’m always made feel so welcome when I shoot there. They have THEE best bridal prep bedroom/ make up area AND the function room doesn’t have to be cleared for the dancing so there’s no waiting around or void for your guests between dinner / speeches and dancing- a big advantage to a venue if you ask me. 🙌👌

This Summer has been a wash out 🌧️ I’m just grateful that we got a break in the weather yesterday for my lovely couple Nailin & Niall 🥰

** SARAH SAYS ** Don’t let a little rain ☔️ ruin your day. It usually clears up very quickly. I know we’d all prefer a dry day but believe it or not, there are some advantages to rain:

✔️ Guests disperse faster after the ceremony! 🏃
✔️More time with your guests at drinks reception🥂
✔️Clear umbrellas can make for great photos ☔️
✔️That high feeling when it stops raining!!! 🌧️
✔️Photographer getting creative eg reflections 📸

But yeah I’d still prefer a dry day!! 🤣😉👌

I absolutely ADORE these rooms at Drenagh for getting ready. The big bay windows allow a view to the rolling hills beyond the property and more importantly for me, gorgeous, flattering light to wrap around my subjects 🤩

Just wanted to share these little beauties with you from a recent wedding 👠 Zara does it again. Especially nice for shorter bridesmaids dresses like these Ted Baker dresses where you can actually see the shoes. Swipe 👉 to see evidence that the shoes were comfortable enough to stay on all day and night bar one who opted for the soft fluffy slippers!! Can’t say I blame her!! 🤣✊

** SARAH SAYS ** Did you know that a wedding takes more than a week of work - between initial consultations, emails, just us sessions, pre wedding consultations, the wedding day itself, editing, colour correction, sneek peeks, slideshows, online galleries and I haven’t even designed the album yet!! 😝

I’m delighted to get this gorgeous and very large gallery out to my clients within x3 weeks of their wedding day. It’s the first thing you’ll want to see when you get back from your honeymoon. Alice & Aidan - you’ve got mail! 📸🤩✊⭐️

As the owner of one or two VW campers ☺️I absolutely LOVE retro cars. I love the look and feel and even the smell (seriously) of them - particularly cars from 60’s, 70’s and 80’s! This little Citroen was no exception and although not your ‘typical’ wedding car it suited my not so typical ( they won’t mind me saying that I hope?!) ☺️ bride and groom perfectly. As a photographer it adds to the narrative and gives me something to play with on the day. It also can reveal a lot about my clients personalities which helps when I’m getting to know them. When the flowers 🌺 totally reflect the brides personality. Quirky, bright, pretty, unique, gorgeous, happy, soft, elegant, fun, strong and vibrant.
