A meeting in Southport today gave me the perfect excuse to revisit the stunning Engine Room workspace—and wow, what a gem this place is!

It’s easy to forget just how breathtaking this listed building is until you step inside again. Of course, I had to say hello to Mr. Bear, but he was surrounded by excited kids and their mums on the Southport Bear Hunt Trail—so lovely to see!

Up on the second floor, I grabbed a coffee at the Engine Room Café and spotted these wise words on the chalkboard:

✨ "The sun will rise and set regardless. What we choose to do with the light while it's here is up to us. Journey wisely." ✨

A great reminder to make the most of every moment!

And then, just when I thought my visit couldn't get any better… I spotted these psychedelic boots in a shop window in the arcade. Perfect for our ABBA Voyage London Weekender (ssshhh 😉🥂🎶👢).

My yesterday was a busy one!

Up with the larks and business networking with other at The Investment Centre, which took me away from my usual routine. But honestly? It was so worth it!

Skelmersdale, Southport, Burscough, Ormskirk and the surrounding area's are bursting with thriving successful businesses, and it's always inspiring to hear success stories, relate the many challenges they have faced, and hear how they overcame them 💪.

Being a small business owner is a rollercoaster ride, overcoming one challenge at a time. But when you believe in what you do, and love what you do, every hurdle becomes part of your journey🚀

So, with no social media post, scraping the ice of the car at 6am, and getting home at 9pm (having incorporated 4 training hours, and attending another networking event in the evening) - I'm not complaining. It was a day well spent with other determined business owners.

Have you been thinking about going to see The Maestro, and his multinational orchestra performing live this year?

I hold my hands up folkes.

At one time seeing Andre Rieu performing live was not at the top of my list, but having only ever heard phenomenal reviews, we had to book.

I can only say that you can't help but get swept away in the grandeur, colourful stage sets, a wonderful mix of music - (not all of it classical) ... It was a memorable night .....
