Back in college I did an OCN in photography alongside a Media BTEC (do either of those exist anymore?? Am I that old??)) but rekindled my love of photography after having children. They're super fun to document!
I use a 'hybrid' approach for family events now, capturing the fun in both photos and video so you can really relive all the best moments (and even feel them all again!).

Favourite venue. Favourite song. One of my all time favourite couples.
A dream wedding doesn't have to mean all singing and dancing. For me, it was the people that made this wedding so special and memorable.
Everyone was so kind, so funny and a joy to be around. I genuinely felt like I was part of the gang all day, including the suppliers and team at Ashfield House!
I'm excited to be heading to Ashfield again today but this time showing off my videos at their wedding fair, hosted by Little White Books!

Yes, mid ceremony their Son did wander up to his Mum and announce he needed a wee.
Yes it made everyone giggle (I could hear it right at the back of the Town Hall!!!)
And yes a photo of everyone laughing would have been cute, but it doesn't take you right back to the comedy timing of this moment like a wedding video...

Even a crazy storm won't stop me capturing the fun at a wedding!! This is a very typical day as a wedding videographer filming a Summer wedding in England...seeing allll weather's in the space of 10 hours and trying to film as many fun moments as I can.

What an evening! I don't mean this epic wedding at @rivingtonhallbarn but their open evening last night with @littlewhitebookslwb !!
I remember how overwhelming wedding fairs were when we started our wedding planning (even 15+ years ago) and so hope the tips I shared helped on the night!
I used to quite enjoy tipping my bag out with all the leaflets and magazines in. But then it's trying to match everyone up with who we loved on the night and starting to look in to them a little more.
Technology definitely helps a little more now and I'll be emailing over my digital brochure and be on hand for any questions now you can think properly!

A MUST SEE venue happens to be hosting a wedding fair today...
@rivingtonhallbarn made it on to my 'favourite wedding venues' list after filming Stacey and Chris's wedding (see their full highlights here: https://lovegetssweeter.co.uk/rivington-hall-barn-wedding-videography/ )
From the moment I arrived they went above and beyond, not only for the couple but for me too.
At one point Lee had to bring Jameson over for a feed because he'd not settled all day. Dragging both kids out after school and through rush hour traffic he arrived to the team sorting them out with some food whilst I calmed a frazzled baby down.
I know they didn't need to help us out in our hour of need but they did, and did it with a smile and helped me continue the wedding with a LOT less Mum guilt (and a full belly!)
As for the weddings...I mean, just look at the setting! 😍
I can't wait to be back this evening to chat to couples at their wedding open evening hosted by @littlewhitebookslwb

Schools Back = Wedding Planning Season kicks in!
My Daughter started back at school this week in Year 5 and if the last 5 years have anything to go by, I doubt I'll be getting any rest after a busy Summer!
After a season of enjoying lots of Summer weddings, I imagine it gets us excited for planning our own?
It's likely something lovely to look forward to at weekends when the nights getting a little darker and the winter mood sets in!
So as well as seeing me hanging out at cool styled shoots like these, you may find me popping up at a few wedding fairs too!
If you're not sure where to start when it comes to finding the best wedding fairs for inspiration then @littlewhitebooksmag is the one I'd always recommend!
Not only do they do their own magazine for Northern weddings but they host wedding fairs across the North West including Lancashire, Cumbria and the Lakes.
