Two events at the Memorial Hall and Gardens this weekend. Today the Growing Network held theirs. Excellent soup served and great opportunity to have a chat about plants and other related stuff. Then tomorrow the 26th May One Inn the Wood their Festival. The next The Growing Network UK event is 29th June. Photo shows some of the plants that were available.

PWWMH are pleased to announce that our web-site is back up!! We also look forward to seeing you tomorrow at Petts Wood May Fayre which is organised in association with Petts Wood Business Association. . The Trustees as part of their review of the memorials in the gardens have been looking at the current memorials that can be found in the gardens. A list is being compiled with the intention of not only adding this record to the Web-Site when it gets re-launched but also maintaining an on-going record. The most recent memorial request came with a £2000 donation!. Many Thanks ! If you have any information on a memorial that has been placed over time please let the trustees know as there may be a chance it is not now known about, but a legacy record might be able to be added to the list.

Tree #1 will be removed on Wednesday 20th. Because of this the Disabled bay along-side the Petts Wood Memorial Hall and Gardens has been suspended for this day. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The removal of this tree gives an opportunity to plant another: a replacement Oak tree (Quercus robur). Might someone consider sponsoring this new tree - perhaps as a memorial? The tree could be named and identified on Google Earth? Please email to discuss - [email protected]

Following a recent survey of the Memorial Gardens it has been identified that some works are required to be carried out to the TREES of the gardens. These works will be carried out by specialist contractors. The Trustees are hoping that there is a volunteer to work alongside the Hall Manager and Trustees who has some/specialist knowledge/experience to assist with the specification, planning, management and safe implementation of these works. LBB has been contacted as a number of trees are Protected (TPO). Please PM or contact [email protected]

Remembrance Day 2023 - 12th November. The War Memorial Gardens will be enhanced this year by a couple of new additions to the memorial. Please use this link for future information of this event which starts with a Parade in Queensway, RBL - Petts Wood Branch This year the Korean war ended 70 years ago.

We remember the service and huge sacrifice of British and Commonwealth forces 70 years after the fighting of the Korean War ended.

The Bromley Council Annual Park, Gardens, Wood survey is on-line. Please respond. Perhaps use the open question 7 (see below) to mention our Petts Wood Memorial Gardens. Even though our Gardens are not maintained by the Council it might be an opportunity for recognition. In our area we are blessed with: Recreational Grounds, Parks, and Woods that need your support. Tickets will be issued for anyone parked within these times.
Elsewhere we understand to park you must use the Ringo App. It will be super busy. Try to visit as pedestrians or by Public Transport

Yesterday 20th April at 5pm there was a 2nd robbery that day at the Memorial Hall. We are working to repair the damage done and replace stolen equipment. The police have been notified. This may cause some inconvenience . If anyone has additional CCTV that would be most helpful. Please ensure your premises are secure and your parked vehicles are locked and robustly immobilised.

The Trustee held their first meeting of 2023 this week. The Hall is looking forward to a full calendar of Community Events ,hosting our Regular Clients and welcoming hires for Birthday Parties and other Celebrations. The Trust is Managed by volunteer Trustees. If you are interested in joining this amenity in the heart-of-Petts Wood please contact the Trust or speak to our Hall Manager.
