Welcome to New York! What does a florist do on holiday? Go to a flower market of course!
Together with my flower pals @westqueenstudio and @u.fl.o.london we headed to the flower district and enjoyed all the sights. You could buy flowers from all over the world 🌍 So many incredible containers too I could have happily filled a shipping container or two!
The flower markets cover about three streets and were bustling. We were super excited by the incredible tropical 🌴 florals and orchids available. It’s a funny time where it’s the end of autumn, beginning of winter and spring so you could get a real mix of flowers. Zinnia, sweet peas, ranunculus and hellebore at the same time?!

A few years ago we were caught flower handed when prepping for @harrogateflowershow at the completely beautiful @newbyhallandgardens . We dressed the gallery full of Roman statues with floaty clouds ☁️ of gyp and orchids. The show is finally being aired this Tuesday night on @channel5_tv at 7pm.
It’s amazing how much gyp we have seen used over the past few years!
Listening here there is no doubt I’m from Yorkshire and completely proud to be so!
