We are really looking forward to next Wednesday.

For our next feature night on Wednesday 4th December, we are delighted to welcome Henry Parker.

Henry's contemporary take on folk is explored through thoughtful yet deeply accomplished guitar playing. Although his roots go back to prog-rock and metal, at an early age he discovered the ethereal playing of Bert Jansch and Nick Drake. From there, finger-picking and open tunings became the essence of his sound.

Katie is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Yorkshire who writes songs imbued with the Northern landscapes of her home. Originally from Hull, East Yorkshire, the grainy imagery of the industrial docks and sea-fronts seep into her deeply personal songs of nostalgia, loss and love.

For more than 40 years, Bob has been regarded as one of the iconic voices of British folk song. Deeply influenced by the working class culture and industrial folk song prevalent in his native County Durham, he has become a first-rate exponent of storytelling through song.
Bob has long been a favourite on the live circuit, both as a solo artist and in his many highly successful collaborations which include a duo with Billy Mitchell (Lindisfarne), the BBC New Radio Ballads series, The Pitmen Poets (with Jez Lowe, Billy Mitchell and Benny Graham) and the role of the Songman in The English National Theatre’s multi-award winning production of War Horse in London’s West End.
