Where do I start (and this is not just because Diane was our Florist for our big day) .......... I have never seen a more breathtaking display of flowers than the ones Diane from Purplehaze creates, not only for my wedding but for all bride and grooms who have been fortunate enough to have her as their Florist.
She herself is one of the kindest, funniest, most beautiful people I have ever met. After explaining what I envisaged my flowers to look like I was blown away on the day to see all the displays and bouquets exactly like I had dreamt of. The colours were amazing and the flowers were beautiful. Literally everyone (even the men!) commented on how stunning the flowers were. Diane stayed after the ceremony and moved the flowers from the chapel to the ballroom for us and kindly came back the morning after the wedding and put the display flowers into bouquets for my guests who stayed overnight to take away with them, completely going above and beyond. All my friends and family who took the flowers still had them 4 weeks after the wedding!! We cannot believe how long they lasted. I cannot recommend Diane enough for anyone getting married, you have struck gold if you are lucky enough to have her as your Florist for your big day!! She must be one of the best, if not the best Florist in Northumberland!

Very excited to announce that we have taken over the lease on the old Arkwrights Village Shop at Scots Gap. It’s a gorgeous little building and I can’t wait to bring it back to life. Since Covid I have been mainly working behind the scenes and holding our consultations by phone or video call but I have wanted to offer my clients a more personal experience again and meet me face to face before the big day and our new space will be perfect 🤍

I have lots of plans for the space, not only for our weddings, but holding workshops and pop up shops throughout the year….and also a lot of work ahead bringing it back to life…not to mention we have just moved house, which is a project in itself, but who doesn’t love a challenge 🤍

Absolutely loved creating this design for Laura and Liam yesterday. We were hoping for a touch of frost or sprinkling of snow but the weather didn’t play along but I think we nailed the winter feels with the flowers and the trailing Amaranthus looking a little like icicles 🤍

Happy Halloween…and a little update 🎃

I have been a little quiet on here recently, winding down I think after a busy wedding season but it’s not over quite yet…. 7 beautiful weddings left before the end of the year taking us to and 🤍

It’s been an amazing year so far and I have been lucky enough to share in so many special days. 2025 is shaping up to be I think one of the best ever too, and probably the busiest I have ever been and I have very limited availability left. We seem to receive most of our new enquiries after the New Year for the year ahead but by this point it’s likely your date will already be booked, so please, if you are considering Purple Haze for your wedding, reach out sooner rather than later 🤍

Upcoming 🎄Normally I am full on over the festive period with workshops but I have taken things a little easier this year with so much other things going on personally 🤍

I do have 3 festive wreath workshops planned for and also along with a fundraising workshop for Belsay Daycare. If you would like any information on these just drop me a message 🤍

We have the last of our Autumnal weddings this Saturday for Emma & Alex, very excited to be heading back to this venue, it’s been a little while and I love the drive over there from Otterburn 🍂

I haven’t shared anything in the past week, it’s been a tough week for my family, we lost someone very important, an amazing, strong and funny man who is missed very deeply. It doesn’t feel right celebrating anything right now to be honest but I wanted to thank all of my past clients who have voted for me and I really am blown away to be a finalist in the awards and in amongst such great company in the category and to thank my clients over the past week whilst I have taken some time away from calls and emails 💜

My next wedding is for the loveliest couple, Kate and Andrew on Tuesday, I’ve loved working with Kate planning her flowers for the day and meeting their family and I can’t wait to get started on the designs 💜
