A traditional Gujarati dish. Khadee, Khichree and bhajhee shaak. All Vegetarian. Khadee a yoghurt soup infused with green chilli, cumin, garlic and ginger. Khichree, lentil rice cooked with lots of ghee, ginger, garlic and green chilli.
The British Kedgeree derived from Khichree.
My daughter's favourite, especially if the have a bad cold.

Happy New Year!!
I'd like to thank everyone for your continued support.
After closing the shop, I wasn't sure if I would continue cooking. But to my surprise so many of my lovely Devon customers hadn't forgotten me. 2024 has been amazing, cooking and teaching in schools, the invitation to cook in your homes and collaborating with other catering businesses has been a wonderful opportunity. Thank you.
Over twelve years I've had a challenge to explain and educate that Indian food isn't about "Chicken Thikka Masala". India is a huge country, with so many states. The food does vary, on class, religion, region and topography.
I would like to thank, those businesses that are not of indian descent for not calling their Indian themed events or dishes, authentic or traditional. But have highlighted it's a Indian "style" of cooking. Curry is not just a curry, you have to live, breathe and be Indian to understand its cuisine.
I look forward to new opportunities in 2025. Thank you again, see you all soon.
