Oxford's first ever Biological Ball is approaching in less than a week! We hope that you are just as excited as we are. Here are a couple of things to note.
1. Get your wristbands beforehand
To save time on the night, please get your wristbands from us beforehand. Please bring your ticket and Photo ID. You cannot collect someone else's wristband for them as we have to verify every ticket holder's identity. We will be distributing them on the following days:
- Thursday (2nd March) 2:00pm-4:00pm @ The Waterstones Cafe (Broad St. OX1 3AF)
- Friday (3rd March) 2:00pm-4:00pm @ South Parks Rd. Common Room (formerly Plant Sciences Common Room)
You can also get your wristband from us on the night, but we ask that you please avoid doing so to help us manage the long queues resulting from this. Last entry will be at 8pm!!!
2. What to bring on the night
Please bring your wristband, ticket, and Photo ID. Persons under the age of 18 years will not be allowed inside the venue.
3. When to arrive
Plan to arrive at 6:45pm to be ready for doors opening at 7pm. Last entry is at 8pm. You are able to leave and return to the museum at any time. However, we will refuse entry to anyone without a wristband after 8pm.
4. What to wear
The dress code is black tie, but you may wear anything you like. We want you to feel comfortable and have fun! (Plus points for dressing on theme :))
5. Safety and Welfare
Professional security guards and first-aiders will be on-site to assist with any health and safety issues.
In addition, the Museum Lecture Theatre will be set up as a quiet space should you need to step away from the noise. There, you can find two peer supporters as well as water.
6. Liability
The museum is kindly hosting us at this very special venue. Please respect and take care around the valuable specimens, some of which are hundreds of years old. You will be liable for incurring damage on the museum specimens.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
