An Important Update on The Great Adventure Party
Dear Fellow Adventurers
I wanted to let you all know that yesterday I took the difficult decision to cancel the Great Adventure Party.
Quite simply not enough tickets have been sold.
For it to succeed both as a great get together and as a fund raising weekend, July needed to deliver continuous growth in ticket sales, and that would have given me the confidence to wait until the middle of August, for rosters (hundreds of crew have said they were waiting to see if they had the weekend off) and payday, for significant sales on top.
We sold less than 500 tickets, and we needed eventually to reach about 1500 in ticket sales. The gap is too large to fill in the remaining days.
I have simply run out of time.
Full refunds will be made to those that bought tickets over the coming days.
Thank you to those that bought tickets, for your support.
I know many more wanted to come, but couldn't commit yet.
I am sorry I couldn’t make the numbers work.
So much magic was in place, from full charity participation, charismatic talks with Virgin Galactic and Holly, Live music, great food and drink, and events like the London to Oxford Bike ride, a Colour Run, Tug of War and even fun on the river.
I am grateful to MIles, Suzie, Lucy and Doug who worked so hard alongside me to help set this up.
The good news is that my Virgin Atlantic Adventures remain strong, with the next 3 out of 4 adventures in 2022 all sold out.
A High Alps walk from Chamonix to Verbier, an epic 500 mile bike ride from Las Vegas to Spaceport and a party with Galactic, another Sailing adventure for 80 people around the BVI to see Richard, and then a climb of Mt Toubkal, a wonderful finish at the Kasbah Tamadot and fund raising for EBF (some spaces left).
So, plenty for me to be getting on with in terms of keeping the Virgin Adventurer magic going.

An eco friendly way to get to the Party. A mini adventure challenge too. We ask only that you open a fund raising page in support of Virgin Atlantic Foundation. There is no minimum and certainly no maximum! Be the first to arrive. The charity bike ride is on Friday 24th, and so our riders will have....
