The Incredible swimmers made their way from Eynsham Lock to Kings Lock. This was the 10th L2L 4K wild swim. Our deepest appreciation to all those who help create these magical wild swim events. We wish all the swimmers a safe journey home.

River Thames Update - 14th May 2024:
We're pleased to inform you that the River Thames remains in good condition today, with no notable issues to report.
Our swim last Sunday provided a first-hand experience of the river's charm. Swimming upstream proved to be a challenging yet invigorating endeavour against the current, while the downstream return was simply delightful. With a duration of 45 minutes and a comfortable water temperature of 16.1°C, it was a truly enjoyable outing.
As organisers of the Lock to Lock swim series, we take the matter of water quality seriously. Over the past decade, we've been diligently monitoring the upper waters of the Thames, ensuring that our events maintain high standards of safety and enjoyment. Although organised swims have been a tradition in this area for many years, we remain commitment to upholding pre-event water quality checks.
We understand the significance of preserving the Thames for all swimmers, whether organised or wild. That's why we continue to advocate for improved water quality measures. By championing these issues, we aim to create a safer and more enjoyable environment for everyone who loves to swim in this iconic river.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we work towards these goals.

Wild swim series is still the greatest way to swim downstream in 2024

My swim companion is always keen to foot the bill after a wild swim session.
Thames is warming up, our water checks are in place in these upper waters way upstream. Constant monitoring has allowed us to swim here throughout most of the season, apart from the dangerous floods levels and fast currents. Water quality checks are always a priority.

Supporting reciprocity throughout the wild swim series. Swim Oxford upper waters are doing well. Still our campaign goes on, however the water samples have been good.
