✨ Special Delivery ✨

I am finishing off the Halloween season with a very special delivery to the Special Care Baby Unit at the JR Hospital. These tiny pumpkins have been donated to the little ones currently staying on the unit as a seasonal keepsake for their memory boxes.

It is a wonderful end to such a busy Autumn season at Oxford Tea Parties.

Next stop Christmas!

✨ Oh Baby! ✨

A brief interlude in all things Autumnal for todays baby shower! My client had a party emergency and needed event crockery assembled at lunchtime for collection this afternoon. From initial contact to loading the car was timed at just under 3.5 hours!

A selection of blues and golds to celebrate the imminent arrival of a special baby boy, I hope you have a fabulous party 💕

Halloween party favours are not hanging around at the moment! Both Witches Hats and Pumpkins are back in stock this evening, but they won't be for long!

Fill them with a chocolate of your choice and add them to a Halloween table, gift bag or trick or treat bowl. Just £1.50 each. My order book is still OPEN for custom colours.

A traditional Afternoon Tea is served on a three tiered cake stand and features the following layers:

🫖 Bottom - mixed selection of sandwiches
🫖 Middle - scones with portions of jam and cream
🫖 Top - bite sized cakes and biscuits

✨Afternoon Tea Week - Without Tea!✨

Did you know that it isn't just tea that tastes better out of English fine bone china?

One of my favourite Afternoon Tea parties had a teacup cocktail theme! We filled up the teapots with different cocktail mixes, fresh fruit and a smidgeon of ice. It was incredible! Teacups provided sensible portion sizes, allowing people to enjoy lots of different drinks safely.

These were served alongside a traditional Afternoon Tea of mixed sandwiches, scones and cakes. A fabulous afternoon indeed 🫖

Afternoon Tea is not just for grown ups! A few simple adaptations can make the traditional past time enjoyable for younger guests:

🫖Simple sandwich fillings such as jam, cheese, or chocolate spread

From the 12th - 18th August we will be celebrating National Afternoon Tea Week!

The tradition of Afternoon Tea dates back to the early 19th century, where the ritual of tea and sandwiches was used to help bridge the long gap between lunch and dinner.
