Our Dahlia season might be coming to a close here at Babylon but the Dahlia love doesn't stop, it's now about planning ahead for next year. More peach and more pom pom we think, though it's hard not to get carried away with all the amazing varieties!

Life at Babylon lately, everything is springing up and looking 👌🏼. We've had the first beautiful wedding of the season, two gorgeous events, we've weeded and mulched, pruned and planted. We've had rain and sun...and frost.

Bunching up Spring. All our favourite 'bits' are coming out here and it makes our spring bunches even more of a delight to make. Balsam is coming into bud, Amelanchier is out, Cornus, that lime green of the fresh Orange Blossom growth is 👌🏼, Field Maple and of course @smithandmunson tulips.
Joyful Spring bunches are available from @thenelson.eat.drink.shop every Thursday - Sat (until they sell out) so make sure you pop in. Perfect excuse to get yourself breakfast, lunch or dinner...can confirm all are delicious 10/10 recommend!

We know it was pretty frosty this morning but with the sun shining now it's re affirmed that spring is on its way, as is Mother's Day...with just a week to go make sure you order online or give us a call to make sure your Mum's have their beautiful bouquets on Sunday.
As always we strive to be as sustainable as possible, cutting from the beds and meadows here with gorgeous Tulips coming from the wonderful @smithandmunson.
In addition to our 'Garden to Vase' Workshops which we run monthly from April – September we have added some additional classes.
DIY Bridal workshop: For those brides who want to do their own wedding flowers. No previous knowledge needed. We can teach you anything from table flowers right through to more complicated larger installations depending on what you are trying to achieve. The course can have up to 4 people. We will also teach you how to condition flowers and what you can use from your garden.
1:1 Masterclass at Babylon: A day at Babylon in the garden and studio, this class is completely tailored to what you would like to learn, it can be a mixture of floristry skills and growing advice or we can concentrate on just floristry – up to you!
1:1 Masterclass in your garden: This class aims to teach you firstly and foremostly, how to use what you have already growing in your garden for vase arrangements in the house throughout the seasons and secondly how to make your beds more productive for cut flowers through the seasons either working with beds you already have or creating an entirely new cut flower bed.
We will come to you for a day workshop.
