The sheer joy captured in this photo 📸

This bouquet was the result of a true journey of discovery for me and Chris, working together to achieve the perfect mix and ratio of flowers and foliage. Once even more asparagus fern had been added by the couples' friend and 'tablescape florist' on the wedding day - swipe to see him - it truly stole the show!

Exceeded expectations and visions (and more!)

Cannot recommend Olivia enough! From the very first call to get a quote, it was so clear how much passion Olivia has for flowers and helping us to create our big day. Throughout the planning process, Olivia was open to our ideas and also suggested some fab ideas too. Her communication throughout was also so quick and we never felt like we were being annoying! On the day, we honestly cannot thank Olivia enough for creating and going above our expectations and our visions. The flowers were beautiful and really boosted the venue. She managed to repurpose a lot of the ceremony flowers for throughout the day which we loved. We gave Olivia free rein for table decorations and arrangements and she did not dissapoint, each table was so delicate and matched our vision perfectly. And the top table was just incredible! So many people commented throughout the day on how beautiful the flowers were! And guests the next morning loved taking home some small bouquets Olivia made up that morning of leftover flowers to save waste.

Caught it the act 🎬

On any wedding morning, you will usually find me on my knees or up a ladder, installing arrangements and perfecting the finer details.

The Surrey Florist is me: I'm the CEO, finance manager, social media manager, personal assistant, driver, administrator, head designer, secretary, and, most importantly, head florist!

I work with generous friends and freelancers on wedding days and pre-wedding days, but it's mostly a one-woman show over here 🦸‍♀️😁

When you book with The Surrey Florist, you get my full attention, never more than one wedding per weekend (or mostly even per week), and I put my whole heart and soul into making your flowers as beautiful as can be.

S U S T A I N A B I L I T Y

I don't post enough about this - sustainability is a big part of what we do at The Surrey Florist. I never use floral foam, which is still industry standard and has been for decades, but here's why I avoid it -

🚫 it's full of micro plastics
🚫 it's messy and dusty before soaked
🚫 it doesn't degrade and has to go into a waste bin
🚫 it's designed as single-use

Instead, I use -
🐔 chicken wire (no chickens are harmed 😅)
🌿 moss
💧 vessels filled with water
🧪 water tubes for more thirsty blooms

So, if you're looking for more planet-friendly wedding suppliers to achieve a more sustainable wedding day, look no further!

My biggest tip for your wedding ceremony ⤵️
Invest in a statement piece!!

It may seem like a big commitment, but believe me, it won't be something you regret!

This fabulous installation was at the beautiful in Dorking and was made for the ceremony, but the guests were flocking around it for photo opportunities all day 😍

Large, dramatic arches and floral columns like these can set the tone for the entire event, giving guests a sense of the wedding’s vibe straight away, whether it’s romantic, modern, rustic, or bright colours and disco balls like this one!
