🌊 𝐀 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐉𝐫.🧜‍♀️

After six months of dedication, our talented students wowed audiences with The Little Mermaid Jr.! Across six shows, over 1,400 people—including the public, primary school students, and a special Year 7 and 8 rewards audience—were transported under the sea 🌊 with dazzling choreography 💃, stunning sets 🎨, and outstanding performances 🎭.

This unforgettable show was a testament to the cast, crew, and Creative Arts faculty’s hard work, with incredible support from parents, staff, and the community 👏. This production was a shining example of what can be achieved through teamwork, passion, and perseverance 💪.

Congratulations to all involved—you’ve set the bar high for what’s next! 🎉

Torbay PQA Poppets recently performed a mini version of Annie and we were very happy to bring along our costumes and props ... and think they look very cute as well as doing an amazing performance to friends, family and the whole academy :)

Time to meet another of our Spark Studio cast members and who else could serve as King Triton's advisor and "distinguished" court composer – none other than the crustacean with the Jamaican accent Sebastian, who is portrayed by Ella Jesson . Despite his esteemed position, Sebastian is regularly tasked with watching over Triton's youngest daughter, Princess Ariel and nearly to his peril when faced with Chef Louis – but does also have some of the funniest lines too !

Not long until our production, so we are pleased to share our lead cast ..... King Triton, portrayed by Joshua Monk, is a powerful ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantica, where he governs with his mystical trident that commands the ocean's depths. Seven daughters, including Ariel, his authority is often challenged by her desire for freedom, highlighting tension between family duty and her individual spirit.
But did you also know that his long lost sister is Ursula, portrayed by Anneliese Doggett, the villainous sea witch strikes deals with “poor unfortunate souls” with the promise of making their dreams come true, trying to advance her own ambitions and cause misery since being banished and exiled and vowed vengeance by harnessing the power of the king's trident and installing herself as ruler of all seven seas.

WOW it certainly looks like Ariel had a wonderful time exploring the human world in Brixham today ... Thank you to The Bay Coffee Company Rockfish Brixham Fonehouse Brixham. You will be able to see Ariel and some of the cast performing from The Spark Studio, Brixham at Paignton Festival tomorrow afternoon at 3.30 and then at the Carnival procession - please do come and say hello .... or better still book your tickets to see the wonderful full production Palace Theatre on Friday 9th August 2pm & 6pm.

Our next cast introductions from The Spark Studio, Brixham..... Carlotta who is played by Charlotte is seemingly the castles primary housekeeper, kind, loyal and aid to Prince Eric. After he rescues Ariel from the beach and bringing her to the castle, she takes her under her wing and tries her best to comfort and look after her. Carlotta is also helped by her two little housemaids played by Isabelle & Crystal.

Come and meet Scuttle, the overly confident, slightly bonkers Seagull and very good friend to Ariel who is played by Piper Kent. The knowledge this Seagull has about “Human Stuff” will leave nothing to the imaginations – but wouldn’t suggest using his medical knowledge in an emergency ……
