I’m Melody, the owner, manager and general tea-maker for Wedding Day Besties. We offer on-the-day coordination - basically bringing your vision to life, plus a few additional services to add an extra bit of sparkle to your day. After you've poured your heart and soul into creating the perfect celebration, you deserve to savour every moment with your loved ones. I’d be so thrilled if you let me handle the final touches and ensure everything runs smoothly, so you can spend your wedding day relaxing with your favourite people while your plans unfold just as you dreamed. Weddings are my absolute passion—I truly believe there’s nothing more magical than helping couples like you see their dreams come together. Every love story is unique, and I love getting to know each couple’s vision and making sure everything is as perfect as you’ve imagined.

I started this business because I’m a people person at heart, and I love supporting others, especially on such a meaningful day. My goal is to make sure you enjoy every single moment without worrying about the details. I’m here to take the stress off your shoulders so you can fully experience the joy of your wedding day.

I think the pre-wedding planning is one of my favourite parts of on-the-day coordination. I love seeing the my couple's stress reduce as we go through their plans and make sure they will work in practise and nothing has been missed.

We had a great time planning with C&R yesterday in our home venue Palace Theatre and . So excited for their big day, its going to be fabulous!

We were blessed to be part of a lovely wedding yesterday for a very special couple.
They chose on-the-day coordination, a welcome sign plus dessert cart with mini cupcakes and personalised shortbreads. A brilliant day had by all, and the rain held off until nighttime, can't wait to see the pictures!

What a great idea! I had to share this lovely event I attended the other evening!
My lovely bride (and friend) found her dress online so didn't have that moment in a bridal shop. Instead, we had a little tea party for when she tried it on for the first time! Hosted by with delicious cakes, scones (and wine 😉) We arrived to find all of the dresses hung, a full length mirror ready, and a beautiful table, full of treats! What more could a girl want!

Do you have a venue coordinator? If so, (and you trust them to do a good job) then the answer is probably no as your venue coordinator will have it covered.
If you don't have a venue coordinator then the answer is probably yes and here's why.
When you have spent months planning every detail of your perfect day, you obviously want it to go according to plan so all of your efforts have not been in vain. The problem is, on the big day you can't be the wedding planner/coordinator as you are the bride or groom. You should get to spend your day relaxing with your favourite people, not rushing around dealing with little niggles or making sure things are prepped for the next stage of your day. It's the difference of a serene and enjoyable day or a stressful experience. Choose the day you deserve!
Now, you might be thinking that your family/friends/bridal party have offered to do various jobs and help out on the day which is great but just consider that they need to be able to enjoy the day too! Also in my experience, sometimes people are maybe not as helpful as they had initially promised (especially after a glass of wine)!
